Q: Will they be warm in the winter with not 'that cold' weather?

They are not ski pants, they are a very nice Jean with stretch, they do not "bag" and sag as all cotton jeans tend to do. With boots and warm snuggly sweater and a scarf I would think perfect for 20 degree weather. At -45 Minnesota weather, I would opt for snow pants!

I would not say they are low rise, more mid-rise. They come just under my belly button
