Collins Italian Phrasebook and Dictionary Gem Edition: Essential Phrases and Words in a Mini, Travel-Sized Format

Great little book!I used this on a holiday to Italy recently and it was so useful! The book is good as it contains useful phrases for lots of contexts and has a dictionary at the back. This book also tells you how to say the words/ phrases which worked great for me and was understood by all of the Italian people I spoke too ( just remember to ask for the reply in English ) as many replied in Italian and I didn't have a clue what they were saying.The book is pocket sized , perfect for putting in your bag ( or pulling out under the table in a restaurant )

This book is really tiny (pocket sized) but the font is a good size, and the information looks great.I havent had chance to put it to use just yet, but is useful not only for learning the language but for using whilst your away.The most needed phrases are all in sections making them easy to find

This is an excellent phrasebook and dictionary and I would advise any one to buy it. What isnt clear though is that the book states on the cover that an ebook download is available, yet when you go on the Collins website to register it will not allow you to do so, so you cant obtain a user name and obtain a dowload. Anyone else had a problem?

Ok so it’s just an little old style phrase book ,but you know it came in really handy and took up no space in day bag- purchased just in case of poor internet where we were staying - as my Italian non existent -

I went on holiday to Italy and hoped this would give me phrases to ask questions and converse with people. Unfortunately the book did not give me that- I had to look up every word I needed!! and some were not even in either the English/Italian or Italian/English dictionary part. Had I needed help with a car or alcoholic drinks it would have helped but I was in a coach and I do not drink!!! So I'm sorry it was a great disappointment.Not worth the money.
