Excellent pigment load and transfer to the painting surface.Bought these as a trial to see what WMO's (water mixable oils) were like.Lovely to paint with straight from the tube for the beginning layers or mixed with water mixable linseed oil in the upper layers of the painting. Much better paint than the Reeves, Winsor and Newton and Daler Rowney sets I also bought in order to test the makes.I have made my choice and will be sticking to Cobra Artist paint (not Cobra Studio as those are classed as student paints).Easy cleanup with water and soap as opposed to traditional oils. No solvents required.I love these paints.

I’m used to painting with traditional oil paints but wanted to try these as you don’t need the turps and white spirit: smelly and toxic mediums. I really like them, they are a little different in texture but I soon got used to that. I used a special medium for thinning the paint rather than water. The washing of brushes and palette is a doddle, it used to be a daunting task. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Water soluble oils can be similar to standard oils. Best to use water soluble oil as a dilute, water does not work as well.

Superb. Excellent handling and mixing properties on the pallet. Colours remains as mixed, dry well in 2-3 days. Absolutely love these. Really far exceeded expectations. Great for alla prima work. Very happy
