Fangirl, Vol. 2: The Manga (2)

5 stars
Fangirl 1 & Fangirl 2Rainbow RowellAdapted by Sam MaggsIllustrated by Gabi NamFangirl One was a reread for me so this review even thought I am doing them jointly will primarily focus on Fangirl Two.Being able to jump back into the college life of Cath is enjoyable. If you’ve read the novel then you know what’s coming and where the story is headed. So I play pretend that I do t know how it ends. Ok, not really pretend I just can’t remember all the details in the novel.Catch is learning the ropes in book two. She’s working on Simon & Snow and is stuck in this rut with her twin sister Wren. The family dynamics while subtle are very real. And does tug at my heartstrings just a bit.But my absolutely favorite part is visually see the growth of Cath. Seeing her accept what she can’t change, and hashing out sentiments she would have stuffed way into a locked box before. The Manga’s follow the novel, there are no surprises and no new twist added which makes it an easy comfort read. The adaptation from novel is perfection. And as in book one Nam illustrations are glorious.

Favorite Novel, Cannot Wait For More!
Absolutely happy with my purchase. I've been waiting for the 2nd volume to come out. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell is my absolute favorite Novel. I cannot wait to read the rest of the volumes. It's just wonderful being able to see a visual of the story. As far as packaging, my manga was safe and sound upon arrival. My only slight annoyance is that the book is a bit larger than volume 1 in size (not in pages). So when the books are lined up, their not the same size. I don't know if it's a printing error but mangas are usually the same height so they look uniform on a shelf. It doesn't bother me too much but I can't be only one that noticed this, am I?

I NEED MORE!!!
I've been waiting for the second manga and was so excited to see it finally came out and now I need more!!! Once again I'm blown away by how awesome the art style is and how great it is that they've stayed close to the novel without taking short cuts! If you love the novel you will honestly love the manga series!! It brings it into visual life and its honestly BEAUTIFUL!!! Now I just need to gather patience and wait for the next but that's gonna be so hard. Especially with how this one ended-though no spoilers from me! You wanna know then you gotta read it!!

Better than Vol.1
Definitely better than vol.1 but I still feel like it would be better to read the book first instead of going straight to the manga. Although it read better I can tell pieces of the store were missing.

Finished it day 1 and need more
I absolutely adore this adaptation! I've read Fangirl around 4 times now but having an adaptation like this in my hands really sets the atmosphere that Rainbow Rowell crafted

Wunderschöne Illustration
Die Illustrationen sind wunderschön. Das Buch kam sehr schnell, der einzige Mangel ist, dass eine der Seiten einen Riss hatte.

Nice cliffhanger 😅
I didn’t enjoy much the first part. But this second one grew on me. The art I though being too bland I am finding now to be interestingly sophisticated. I did not like how the story got adapted from the book at the beginning, but I guess I just needed to get used to the graphic novel narration style? In any case, I am glad I gave this manga a chance, and now I am looking forward to reading the next part!

Oh my heart!
It's finally here after waiting for almost two years and it's everything that I expected and then some! Rainbow Rowell writes like a dream. And the manga adds more imagination and vividness to it!

Lindo
Es una buena novela gráfica, está en blanco y negro pero tiene toda la historia bien contada, además de que las portadas son preciosas
