Beauty in the Bible: Adult Coloring Book Volume 2, Premium Edition (Christian Coloring, Bible Journaling and Lettering: Inspirational Gifts)

The media could not be loaded. This is the premium version of “Beauty in the Bible, Volume 2”. I have this book in the original, thinner, non-perforated version, so I can do a side-by-side comparison of the two.What I have found is that there is a real difference between the two books. To begin with, the new book is one inch shorter than the original. That means that some of the designs are cropped slightly different in this version, though I did find that all 30 of the designs are in both books (though the new book also includes 12 smaller versions of some of the designs as well.)The paper in the new book is a little more of an ever so slightly antique white compared to the bright white of the original (I will try to show the differences between the two books in a photo below. Note that the stand-alone photos of the book look perfectly white when seen by themselves.) It is much thicker, has a nicer texture, works better with a variety of coloring medium and, of course, the pages are all perforated.The premium version contains 30 larger designs and 12 smaller ones. The small ones are printed two to a page and you have to cut them on the provided cutting line to separate them from each other. The larger design will fit an 8 x 10 inch frame and the smaller design will fit a 5 x 7 inch frame. The 12 smaller designs are not unique and new designs but rather smaller versions of 12 of the larger designs.The designs are all Scripture-based with verse citations; however, I cannot provide the specific translation information as it is not included in the book. As with my other books by this publisher, the Bible verse is what is the stand-out from the page thought the hand-drawn illustrations are lovely and are fun and easy to color as well. The images in the coloring book are licensed from Shutterstock.For my first two projects in this version of the coloring book, I used alcohol-based markers (Sharpies and Bic Mark-its in ultra fine.) While the ink did leak through, I had removed each page from the book and color it while it was on my clipboard.I am really thankful for companies such as Paige Tate and Pen and Paint for providing beautiful and easy to color designs which put Scripture first and foremost. I always reach for one of my Christian coloring books when I am feeling troubled and want to color. I find that meditating on the verse while coloring helps bring clarity to the issues that I am dealing with. First, let me say in my search for a faith based adult coloring book I purchased this coloring book and three others. So, this review is about Beauty and the Bible coloring book and how it compares to the other three highly rated coloring books that I had also purchased. Hands down love this coloring book. It is exactly what I wanted. Unlike the other coloring books the pages are on cover stock rather than standard paper like you would find in a standard coloring book. Each page quotes a scripture and has a scripture reference. For me personally, I didn’t want a coloring book to just color for the sake of coloring. Meaning there are plenty out there that have busy designs that are meant to just keep you coloring for hours on end and you have not much use for them afterwards. I did not want that. What was unique and I do mean unique as out of the four adult coloring books I had bought this one was the ONLY ONE that had a nice artistic design that complimented the scripture. You can literally color, frame and either keep it or give it away as a gift. The scriptures themselves are simple but profound, which is important if you want to spend time with God in the midst of coloring, as I wanted to. Some pages are 8.5 x 11 and a few are 2-up which makes each image 4.25 x 5.5. I really like this coloring book. It is artistic and laid out and design exceptionally well. Do I like every single design? No. But, 98% of the designs I do really like. If you want to color, meditate on God’s Word, reflect on His promises, and have a keepsake to have in remembrance, this is the coloring book for you. Pages are not bright white, but off white.

The Bible versus really cheer me up while coloring and calming anxiety

I wanted a coloring book to relax and reflect on the Word in a creative fashion. I'm by no means an artist and have trouble staying in the lines with very detailed work. I had looked at other coloringbooks and they were OVERWHELMING with the amount of coloring for one page. This book is easy-to-use, has pages with small detailed coloring, and other pages with not so much coloring needed (which is what I wanted!) I love that the pages are perferated so I can color the page, take it out and frame my creation. The pages are thick so my markers don't bleed through to the next page. You can put another page in between if you're coloring with Sharpies just in case. 10/10 - totally what I was looking for and more!

Blight this for an elderly resident at my senior assisted living where I work. She was so overjoyed she cried. She said it was the best thing she has ever seen. Perfect for senior citizens looking for art projects that are easy to do and involve the lord. She said she can’t wait to color them in and send the cards to her friends. 5 stars.

I love these modern designs and pages. I can tear them out (perforated) and give them to people or hang them in my dorm room. Great buy and I highly recommend. Pages are thick like cardstock so markers don't bleed through. They've even got mini prints of some popular designs in the back to color in as well. I love this book.

I bought this for my grandmother, and she loves it! She has dementia , so it’s often hard for her to stay focused and on-track, but this bible verse coloring book has been a great way to keep her mind moving! It is well designed and great quality! I’d recommend this for any adult who loves the Bible!

I like to color the lettering, like the scriptures but most are black lined, as are most of the pictures. I doubt I will even use it.This is the 3rd coloring book I’ve been recently disappointed with.
