I used these cross bar clamps to secure a moveable segment of my garden shade frame. They fit schedule 40 3/4" PVC pipe perfectly, and with a half-turn of the retaining nut, I can make the extension very rigid, even in the high winds that come with living on an island. Or I can make it moveable in less than 5 minutes. The clamps are galvanized for outdoors, are built heavy enough to use in practically any application, and are the most economical solution for me. They can be adapted to just about any project using cross-bar clamps, and using a very minimal amount of space to do it. I recommend these for an easy fastening method if you're using small diameter piping.
