useless
I really hate to throw away books but this one ended up in the trash bin, sadly. It doesn't even mention wether the fingering charts correspond to German or Baroque, and contains mistakes here and there. It is not progressive at all and goes from playing boring two-note suites to complex exercices out of the blue. Explanations are irrelevant and totally useless.

An excellent book, but marred by a debilitating misprint on two pages (see review).
A good introduction to reading basic notation. Not too much and not too little, it teaches just enough to use the exercises. Also good that the written note is printed above each finger chart. This is one of the few books that, while staying very simple, introduces and explains tempo/movement terms like 'largo' or 'vivace' and then uses them with the tunes at the back of the book. That is PRICELESS!Unfortunately, the fingering charts for Fnat are incorrect on pages 25 and 38. Follow the text's instructions, but know that the charts do not reflect what is written.

Disappointing
Material is inadequately explained for me as a beginner. There are mistakes in the book that will require the beginner reader to dwell on for a very long time before realizing its a mistake. The links are a joke, it requires you to create and pay for a soundcloud account. The book contains some free links( incredibly long to type) in soundcloud that play symphony music and no recorder music!!!
