With a little research on the Internet, I found that Lavemi is a trademark of Chunmei, Wu so this wallet is made in China. I end up doing research where products are made nowadays because it seems they don't like to say.

Is this wallet well made or is it a knock off cheap china brand?

A cheap knock off of what? I think it is well made and of quality materials. It works well for me. I have lots of cards and it has lots of space for that. My husband was looking for money and he completely missed it, so that's a plus. It holds everything and I put a ring on the handle outside so my keys clip on to it. I don't need to take a purse with me anywhere.

Waxed leather is more a slick, polished leather (just a step below Patent-Leather). Pebbled is a textured grain (raised texture so it resembles miniature pebbles). Vintage Leather is supposed to be specific leather that pre-dates the early 1980's.
