These wrist guards give me the assurance of protecting my wrists if I fall while hiking. I went hiking on a frigid cold day and I was able to wear a thin pair of gloves and heavy mittens over the wrist guards without a problem.

I use this as a method to immobilize my wrist after it is strained. I used to do this twenty years ago with a different skating brace. When my wrist hurt, it was time to use said brace.It does the job well. There’s some degree of wiggle room so don’t think you’re getting a cast. It’s really solid, though, and makes sure the wrist isn’t going to move a lot.So while I’d feel safe to assume that in the event of a fall, it would protect well, I hope I never have to test that. However it is a usable brace.

Bought these for roller skating. The neoprene material makes my palms sweat but that’s not a big deal. They fit well without moving out of place. I took a forward fall while skating at the park. When I reached out to break my fall the curved guard at the palm area slid on the asphalt quickly causing both my arms to slide out into a 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock position. Although my wrist were protected I bruised my cheek bone and received 5 stitches in my chin when my face hit the pavement. There’s no grip on the palm area to keep them from sliding on impact🥺
