Car Audio CD to AUX Adapter for Honda Accord 2003-2012, Plug & Play

The product works as advertised. I bought the auxiliary version, which is the one with a 3.5mm gold platted audio jack on the end. I did not buy the other models. Followed a YouTube video on how to take out the stereo, which is easy enough to do. Unfortunately my connector was in the back of the stereo, which meant I had to remove the entire unit. This added some additional time, but still pretty easy to do. I then pulled out the white connected from the factory and installed the adapter I purchased. Heard it "snap" into place. I then drilled a hole in my storage to slide the rest of the Yomikoo adapter into place. Put it all back together and hooked it up. The sound is crystal clear. No issues what so ever. I tested it with my iPhone XS and the lightning to 3.5mm adapter. The volume automatically when to max on my iPhone which distorted the sound slightly. Cutting the volume on my iPhone back to about 75% was perfect. I then used the volume adjustment on the Honda stereo. It is nice to be able to stream music throughout the car instead of just on speaker phone. To access the Yomikoo, you just hit the CD/AUX button twice. The screen comes with up CDC D1 T1. This is the signal you need to play music or whatever you like. If you have a vehicle like mine that is still kickin', buy this adapter and jump on YouTube for installation. Money well spent for such an inexpensive adapter. I have seen others anywhere from fifty to two hundred! Yikes!

I installed this in my 2006 Honda Accord. My CD player has a CD stuck in it, but who uses CD's nowadays right? I decided to give this a shot, and after youtubing a video on how to get it installed, I was able to get it done in about 20 min. It works as described, now I can just hook up my phone to the Aux cable and boom! I got music in my car again. Totally worth it.

This aux adapter works as expected. There are tons of installation tutorials on YouTube to follow. For me, the installation takes me about 40 minutes. The length of cable is sufficient. I hide the main "white" adapter body inside the car structure and the audio line is able to reach the cellphone placed atop of the middle AC vent. On sound quality, I do not have ears that sensitive so I feel the sound is great. Plus, when I am driving 70 MPH on highway, the noise from the adapter (if present) is buried in the background air flow noise anyway. The only complaint I have is that the jacket of the male audio port is too thick. If the audio opening of your cellphone case is not big, then the audio wire might have a hard time going through. But it is a minor issue. As long as the functions are good, I think it is worthy five stars. By the way, in case someone is confused as I am: Honda accord has a separate aux port besides the wires to CD. So, you do not need to unplug CD to get the aux adapter connected. The 1-by-2 splitting adapter is not necessary, unless you want to connect two aux devices (like one MP3 and one USB drive).

I purchased this product and it works solidly and is easy to install if you follow instructions on Youtube on popping out your radio for the 2007 Honda Fit. It is all plug and play. The down side is that it wasn't made in this country and it will not allow you to speaker phone through the car stereo. Previously, I had assembled my own from following instructions posted on the web and it worked to a degree. The problem with the unit I made concerned the Aux adapter not fitting the plug very well and constantly needing to monkey with it before any sound came out. I figure for the $18 that this device costs it was worth the money for a car that is 14 years old and has 200,000 miles. I sincerely wish this device was made in this country because I hate sending my money to China so that their government can spend every nickel they have to try and bury us and our way of life.

Installed this in a 2006 Honda CRV and it works as advertised. You do need to order the splitter if you want to use the cd changer still which should be included. The audio quality is fine, nothing to write home about though. I have had it cut out and had to turn the car off and on to get it working again so I'll update this review after a few months on it's longer term quality. Also as mentioned you can't charge a phone at the same time without getting feedback. I got a feedback isolator which resolved that issue however it cut down the volume of the aux so switching between aux and radio requires a volume change. I had another similar unit I installed in another CRV and had a similar experience. If you can afford it I would try and get a radio from a more recent model year car or an aftermarket one that has built in aux support as all these units are just cheap and not high quality.

This adapter was a cheap, easy way to add aux capability to my 2006 Accord’s factory radio. I had previously done the same installations on my 1999 Accord and 2003 Element, so the process was very familiar and simple. I love Hondas and generally find most aftermarket radios to have clunky interfaces and corny aesthetics, so I appreciate that their factory head units from this era have expansion ports that can be used in this way. I opted for the 3.5mm-only option because I didn’t want to potentially introduce any power supply switching noise. Installation was a breeze and the sound is crystal clear! If you need to add aux capability on a budget, this is the way to go.

My 2007 Honda Accord has a factory CD player and absolutely no aux input so I found this adapter and gave it a shot after seeing some good reviews. Installation took maybe 30 minutes after watching a YouTube video showing how to pop the stereo out and now I can plug my phone in and hear music through the car speakers. The sound quality is clean and it is way cheaper than buying a whole new head unit, so for the price it is a genuinely solid fix.
