The product is nice for keeping the kid's mess off the table if you are watchful. However, grabby hands will foil any good intentions. This product slides around pretty easily, so if you baby likes to use their hands, you'll probably be picking food off the floor for most meals. We did find a silicone mat from EzPz that "sticks" to the table so that the baby can't grab it and throw it on the floor.

Pros: Folding washable mat for on the go eating.Cons: It does not stick to any table that I've found.This is great if my child is cooperating and eating without trying to throw everything on the floor or push her mat around. If you're looking for something that stinks - I'd find an option that has adhesive (probably a throw-away version). I've actually found that the free throw-away mats at Chick-Fil-A work really well - just grab an extra when you go there. I've also seen disposable ones on Amazon but have not tried. Another tip, before you stow this to take it home (after use) make sure to get as much food off as possible - the seal when closed is not air-tight and foods can slip through. I try to bring a disposable bag or rinse in the restaurant sink before putting back in my diaper bag.I give this product three stars because we do use it a lot and now that she is a little older, she's gotten better about trying to throw it on the floor.

We love this placemat. We keep it in the diaper bag for when we're eating at restaurants, to keep our baby from eating off the table. It's very durable, lightweight, and easy to clean. We really like that it snaps together when not in use, so we can put the dirty placemat back in the bag (to be washed at home) with the dirty side snapped to the inside so nothing else in the bag gets dirty.What would make it better? If it also had a way to stick to the table!

Love this mat as it keeps all spills inside the mat and not on the table. I wish it were slightly larger but for toddler size plates and bowls it's the perfect size. Super easy clean up and my granddaughter loves the color and the little birds, she always asks for her mat when she sits at the table to eat.

These do the trick for us! I got them when we transitioned my twins from highchairs with trays to sitting at the table. Our table is a rustic farmhouse table that has an uneven top (purchased pre-kids of course). I needed something that would provide a little bit of a flatter surface for them and hopefully, help keep cups and bowls from falling over if not placed perfectly. This definitely helps (although it is still pretty thin)! I also, like the other reviewers, love that I can just fold it up after a meal and bring it over to the sink to wash. I haven't taken it to a restaurant yet, but yes, it would be perfect for that as well.
