Had to change the internal flush system of one of our toilets. Had done it a few times before so knew what I needed. The syphon has a plastic film piece inside and its usually that that fails. Took the old one out and there was a tear in the film as I suspected which was why the flush wasn't as powerful. This is really well built and adjustable so can make it taller if needed to give the support to the lid of the unit. Can do it without any tools but having a pair of adjustable grips to tighten final plastic nuts is ideal. Works like a dream. Don't rush it and take a few pics on your phone before you take the old one out to double check if you've never done it before. And check the size of the old one as they all do vary in terms of the footprint (how much space they take up inside the cistern).

The product is very good quality and will surely last long. Installation was a bit of a nightmare as it has a 38mm flush pipe connection that was too small for the existing one (40mm).Definitely my fault not to check that first, but there is no syphon version catering for a 40mm flush pipe, and finding a new 38mm one to replace the existing one was an utter nightmare. Dudley should really sell these alongside the Syphon to allow people to easily source everything needed for installation. What is the standard here?Anyway, had to remove the whole cistern to refit the new pipe, which it wasn't fun, but once in place it works very well.
