Amazon Rip-off--description deliberately misleading.
No-where in the listing does it indicate that this is a 240 volt product. Which can be a safety hazard. Here's why. First, the power cord is typical American standard, known as a NEMA 5-15, so the unit will plug into an American style AC outlet. However, the unit will switch to battery power automatically because the line voltage is too low.Now the typical "computer" AC power cable uses the NEMA 5-15 as the male plug (for the wall outlet) and what is called an IEC C-13, a female connector (used with a flat blade male connector) (c-14) to plug into the back of the computer. The outlets on the back of this unit are C-13's. Included with the UPS are two power cords with a c-14 male to c-13 female--so you could run a cable directly from the UPS to the computer using these power cords.However--if the battery has a charge it will put out 240 volts not 120 volt US standard. Some equipment power supplies can handle this higher voltage, but other devices might not. The higher voltage might damage the equipment, even start a fire.Of course you can't return this piece of junk!

Didn't work and couldn't return it.
This unit was ten years old. Didn't work. Didn't come with plugs. Vendor refused to accept return, and wouldn't respond to questions. The worst transaction ever!

Unclear minimum requirements.
Purchase only good for homes with certain power levels. If your home does not have that power level the product will not switch off of the battery and as a result continuously beeps.
