Piece of Chinese crap not even worthy of a gag gift
I realize this isn't a $3000 PVS-14... but it's NOT EVEN a PVS-14 at all. It's a very low resolution day/night (IR) security camera with built in monitor, just PVS-14 style housing. And a tiny tiny tiny monitor at that. You would think that for $219 they could AT LEAST put a display that filled the entire tube. I'm very mad at myself for buying this piece of crap. I knew it wasn't gonna be even $200 worth of gear. Gen 1 NVG cost less and is fathoms better. RETURNING THIS TOMORROW.DO NOT BUY

I’m happy with it.
First off you get what you pay for, now with that outta the way.Drawbacks: you do see in the unit at x2 Magnification so it takes some getting used to.It is like looking at a small screen down a hallway. No auto focus so it’s not blow your mind awesomesauce. On the bright side:It does add a wow factor to your kit, I get complements and question about it all the time.Once you get it dialed in it works! You can see in the dark!Final note: i did buy this for airsoft and it works for me and what I use it for,

Very Nice NVD
I used night vision in the military. Those units are heavily built, and are very expensive. This unit, while probably not as durable, is better in many ways. It can be used in the daylight, and the screen resolution is excellent, with natural looking colors. At night, according to the instructions the image is supposed to be black and white, but its in color-albeit a little washed out. Have not tried it out in the woods or total darkness yet. The only drawback is the minimum zoom level is 2X. I would have preferred 1X because that makes movement in the dark easier, but I have adapted to the 2X zoom and cam move comfortably.

Defective after 1hr of use
I am waiting on a replacement, the unit worked great the first day I received it. I pulled it out tonight (2nd day), and notice that it will not pickup an image in night vision regardless of focus or IR amplification. I tried replacing the batteries but nothing works. Once I get the replacement I’ll update

Damage Item Helmet Adapter Screw won't fit into the PVS-14 NVG, stuck and impossible to removed
Very disappointing with PVS-14 NVG, the helmet adapter don't fit into the PVS-14 NVG I had a hard time to removed from the knot screw from the nut, was damage never had a chance to see anything else since from the beginning the hardware was bad and also PVS-14 felt from the helmet. I paid for this and they received my money the same day now I has to way I don.t know how long to get my refund back, Bad refund policy I had to paid to USPS $27.75 for my return and adding for the product $245.88 is $273.63 for a bad product. I want my refund back to my account ASAP and now, I already sent the product back to China in the same box with everything inside but a damage screw adapter to the PVS-14 item, the Knot screw is different side than the nut that hold the PVS-14 got it stripped inside wrong sides and items, also felt from the helmet adapter very loose, J-arm helmet adapter wrong side, the seller need to inspect the product make sure everything fit including the hardware. I sent back them can figure out the problem was the wrong side in the hardware J-arm screw and nut didn't fit. Give my money now..

Its ok BUT!!!!
First off it looks just like a well made PVS-14. But it is not what was described. The J-mount fits loose in the rhino mount,(no biggie there), It takes 2 AA batteries. It looks like you are looking a LCD screen. It is kinda cool that you can use it in daylight and it is gray scale hot, so it is like looking through a PVS-13. Now the screen, It is about 75 degrees off. I know the pics are not the best there they are. you get what you pay for on these chines knock offs. They showed up in the box, NO packing box, No return label. So I'm kinda stuck with them. I would like to see a good pair. I wish they were 1x instead of 2x, but they do work for want you need. I thought these has the green night vision as it showed it the description.

May need some tools to get it working proper, but nothing extreme.
I'm not sure if the j-arm was funky, or the rhino mount was, but it attached backwards. I wound up disassembling my mount and making it so it was on properly. The night vision works alright, but the magnification is only in 2X so I can't zoom in or out.

good buy for the price
the magnification sucks and cant adjust it but it works fine cant really move it around its just a one way view. You get what you pay for though
