It is good but I expected something better

Simple to use. Three settings - 3 is quite hot, 2 is good, 1 is more warm. Goes off automatically after 90 mins. Cord is not super long but ok - 236cm. total; 160cm, to the control. There is a good inch round the edge of the pad that does not get hot because of the way the wires run, and the button where the cord attached to the pad sometimes gets in the way slightly, so you have to reorientate the pad. But overall it works really well. I use it most evenings.

Needed to find a good quality heat pad to ease my occasional lower back pain. Previously I was using my wife’s heat pad but as the pain was constant I needed my own. A search on Amazon found so many different pads of all shapes & sizes.So after careful consideration I chose this Beurer heat pad & it arrived very quickly. The pad can be used both sides and has 3 heat settings. On level 3 the heat comes quite quickly & gets to work. I find it very comfortable especially when used with cushions to provide support.The only problem I find with it is that the cable seems to get detached quite easily - maybe it needs a modification of a clip to keep it in place.Definitely worth 4-4.5*

I was looking for a heated pad that I could safely lie on in bed to give my whole back relief from an on going back pain issue. I read the reviews for a lot of the larger, more blanket type pads and it seems none of them were meant to take your body weight.I actually called Beurer direct to ask them if this pad was suitable for lying on and the customer service representative made further investigations and called me back the next day to confirm it is safe to lie on (obviously do not use it over night to sleep on). I've been using it on the highest heat setting 3 and would prefer it if it got very slightly hotter but none the less it still gives me some comfort and relief on this setting. It's about the right size to heat most of your back, you may need to shift it occasionally to reach all areas. I love using my wheat bag but it's just slightly too thick to place under my back in bed so this is a great additional tool for me.

Just ideal to have on your lap, or to sit on during this cold weather. Also, can be used in the bed. Perfect with 3 heat settings and an automatic switch off. Bought one for my 90 year old Mum and my sister too! As it's white, I'll probably make a cover for it.
