Gave this as a gift and recipient loved it. Very informative.

The content is good, but they use drawings instead of photos of trees. Photos will always give you allot more detail, so I don't get why they decided to draw instead.

This Collins Gem guide to Trees is simply brilliant. In a simple pocket sized format you get comprehensive information about a wide variety of trees that is easy to reference whilst at home or out and about. On each double page spread you get one page of information including Latin names, bark, leaves, flowers, fruit and related species and on the facing page you get a variety of colour illustrations of the various parts of the tree so you an distinguish one tree from another with ease. This also has a wonderful introduction with information about trees in general. This is an attractive and extremely useable book and is well worth a look if you like country walks and would like to identify more trees as you go.Feel free to check out my blog which can be found on my profile page.

Hard to use, too small.

This is a nice pocket sized book which is handy when you're out and about for looking up trees and find out what type of tree what they can be used for what their leaves look like a great learning tool

The cover is tatty at the corners and like others said there’s no photos in the book. I prefer the other Collins Gem books I’ve got but this one still has lots of info.

le dimensioni di questa piccola guida sono fin troppo piccole....tuttavia come contenuti si difende molto bene ed anche i disegni sono molto curati.che dire....alberi e piante non sono la mia specialità, ma sicuramente lo ritengo un ottimo aiuto per avere informazioni generali sulle specie di alberi più comuni.tuttavia, questa piccola guida forse si meriterebbe una mezza stella in più per il prezzo veramente contenuto!
