Will absolutely make your trip.
I bought this book for my daughters aged 6 and 11. It really was the best thing I could have done for this trip. This book really brings Rome to life for children (and adults) and gives them really interesting things to look for and facts about each part of Rome they may visit. Will be buying more of these for other city breaks. Thank you to the authors for such a brilliant addition to our holiday.

Do yourselves a favour and just buy this!
A must for anyone with children visiting Rome, was invaluable keeping our girls interested in all that we were seeing. There was a lot of excitement over collecting points and finding interesting things both historical and cultural. Weirdest pizza topping we found was chips! To be honest it had enough explanation for most adults too. 😁

A great book for the whole family.
We have returned from a great 5 day family break in Rome. We arrived in Rome without much of a plan but luckily had Mission Rome in hand. What was different about this trip was rather than us parents telling our kids where to go and what to see, they were full of enthusiasm and planning the day out themselves by following this book - and we were happy in going along with their plan. This book is clever since it covers all of the major sightseeing sites, it includes some history, lots of spotting objects which means our kids were genuinely becoming interested in these places - This is the 1st time our kids were begging us to visit museums! The book includes fun tasks too.We felt the only thing missing from the book was a simple map; this would have helped our kids to understand the location of the sights within the city.

Excellent, informative and entertaining
Just back from a 4 day trip to Rome and this was by far the best of the books we bought - great "missions", interesting and informative, and well-illustrated. Published a few years ago but still completely accurate. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rome with kids. In three non-stop days we managed to visit most of the places in the book, but you could easily do this over a week. The "anytime challenges" were a nice addition. Our 11 year old loved earning points and solving the clues (was able to do them all independently, but a younger child would need help on some), and it really helped to keep him motivated as we walked for hours. And as a bonus, instead of having to negotiate with him to pose for photos, he won points in the book for photos in front of various landmarks so actually asked me to take pictures!

Perfect addition to a family city break
We used this book while on our first family city break with our 9 year old . It was a big hit and we all got involved in trying to complete the tasks . Would highly recommend and will definitely but others for future trips
