Everything about this book is wonderful. First off, the coverage on the subject is extensive. The author has spent an enormous amount of time delving into the subject of Waffen SS camouflage, and presented his research in a very clear manner. Secondly, the presentation is top-shelf. The book is very heavy and beautifully assembled. The pages are heavy gloss stock and the entire book is filled with absolute gorgeous, high quality clear pictures showing both period era photographs, as well as high resolution, color pictures of the actual uniform pieces on mannequins so that the reader can have the best possible idea of what these items look like in-person. I am thrilled to have added this to my library, and am looking forward to picking up the 2nd volume. It is worth every penny.

I am overwhelmed. I have studied WW2 camo for forty years. Never realized the SS had this many pattern variations. I don't think they even realized it, either. Very well photographed, printed on high quality paper. Some real "eye-candy" here for WW2 buffs. Happy I bought this.

Amazing reference guide. Exhaustively researched with fantastic and crisp pictures easily the best books out there on the subject. Can't wait for the next two volumes.
