Quality pair of kitchen shears at a great price....
Hello. I'm a stay at home dad and do all of the cooking in our home. I purchased these shears based on other reviews here on Amazon and by looking at unbiased opinions online. They are light but seem to be well made, are sharp and are certainly reasonably priced. I also like that connection of the two blades is secure and not of the "take apart" variety that so many companies put out. I've had those come apart types and that's exactly what they do - fall apart at the exact wrong time. They also tend to become loose and sloppy and won't cut delicate items at all. I haven't had these long enough to really comment on their durability but I'm looking forward to years of use from these shears. Great company to do business with as well - I received a personal message from a representative making sure I received the shears in a timely manner and checking to see if I was happy with my purchase. I am very satisfied and would not hesitate to buy other Chef Remi products. I would expect a quality item and feel like they would make it right if I was disappointed in any way at all. Not sure how you can ask for more than that....Steve

Best tough kitchen shears I have ever had!!!!
We all know the difference between good kitchen shears and bad. My real rating is 4.75 stars please see below. POSITIVES: Durable, easy to hold, bottle opener or lid opener, the grip between the handles opens anything from a flavoring bottle (i.e. vanilla)to as large as your grip is comfortable, the screw where the blades join has a NO RUST cap, Cuts through chicken and meats, cuts through packaging, no hand cramps, cuts veggies and cuts thin slices for food decorating just fine, delicate and heavy use, I was able to cut through frozen food and then delicate potato slices to make decorative florettes. My husband and I can each use it. The instructions say do not sharpen.UNSURE: The do not sharpen made me wonder how long they would really last so I contacted the manufacturer. They responded in a few hours. They reminded me about the lifetime guarantee and said they were trying to develop a sharpener.I tried videoing me using them but since I can't post a long video I chose pics.I also accidentally ordered two pairs. On pair on sale and one pair regular price. I was thinking I would return the regular priced scissors but now I'M KEEPING them and giving them to my arthritic sister in law. I like her enough to give her the unused pair.

Ok General Purpose Scissors - I would NOT Recommend for Food Preparation
These are decent general purpose home scissors. Opening packages, cutting random things, wrapping paper, doing things that don't require you get them wet or food stuck in them. There is some shady stuff going on with this seller and this Ad. Fakespot.com goes between giving these scissors a F and D due to what appears to be fraudulent reviews. These are very sub-average kitchen/food prep scissors. These were the backup pair of scissors to our backup pair so they saw only light use. After the first 'Spatchcock' chicken (where you cut the backbone out of a whole chicken in preparation to be grilled) the scissors developed a considerable wobble. I never used them for Spatchcocking again. It's been about two years and they're headed to the trash because there is considerable rust developing on the blades and in the hinge/joint so badly rusted, it can't be tightened.Since the blades don't come apart (at least the model I got doesn't), there is no truly great way to clean them which also concerned me. Again, for general house use, these would be pretty decent. We used them when we first got them for wrapping paper and they created the smoothest cut I've seen, but that first chicken wrecked them. If you don't use them on anything super heavy or let them spend any time in water, I bet they'd be OK.For food prep scissors, the Cutco Super Shears are, hands down, the best ever made. If those are too expensive (they're not cheap) the Gerior Come Apart scissors are quite high quality (not as much as the Cutcos but the price difference is quite a lot). I'll be writing a separate review for those, shortly.

Great pair of shears for the kitchen
I used to owned a pair of scissors that looked similar in design. The blades on that were not that sharp and I had to apply some force to get it to cut the fish. Also, the handle grips were more plasticky in nature. One fine day, while using it, it gave away at its joint and got split in two. That is when I decided to invest in a good quality shear and after some research finalized this one..I have been using these shears for a few weeks now and wanted to test it well before making up my mind. Overall, these shears feels quite solid and build to last. It is well finished, has a good grip and the blades are really sharp (and that makes all the difference) !. Cleaning fish and crab has become almost effortless now as it just kind of 'snips' through everything in its path. These shears performed admirably whenever I used it and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a handy shear in the kitchen. Pretty happy with the purchase overall !

They are not that sturdy or indestructible but accomplish their job and they do it great.
It's hard to leave review for a product that needs time to be well tested over time, specially when sharpness is the important factor. At the time these shears have been working great (with less than a month of use). It's a really big difference going from normal scissors to this. I don't do any heavy duty job that involves forcing them, why you may ask...well, they don't seem to hold well after that kind of abuse. You have to know their limitations and you'll be pretty fine. They are not that sturdy or indestructible but accomplish their job and they do it great. Not recommended for other uses or abuses other than kitchen job, because if you abuse them, there's no doubt they will come apart in two or end up very disappointed. If you care for your tools, they will care for you too.
