I have a 2018 mode Mac Mini with a HP monitor.What did I like? I liked the look and functionality of this USB hub. I read the negative reviews and thought maybe the positives outweighed those negatives. When I took it out of the box and fixed it to my monitor, it looked great.What did I not like? I didn’t like the fact it didn’t work with the lead I bought to connect it to the thunderbolt USB-C port. It didn’t work, so I had to use the lead it came with to connect it to the USB 3.0 port. I really didn’t like that when I plugged it in, both my Magic Wireless mouse and the keyboard didn’t work. When I unplugged the Orico hub from my Mac Mini, the mouse and keyboard worked again. Work that out…..So I came to the conclusion this usb hub is dangerous and I should have stayed clear. I’m better off sending it back and getting a refund. Thanks for refunding me Amazon. Please, I think you should withdraw this usb hub from your catalogue and listen to those negative reviews.

This is an extremely solid USB hub, used to provide extra ports to an all-in-one computer where one of the USB ports had the plastic insert melted by an overheated USB drive. It has been mounted on the edge of a desk, which is ideal for plugging and unplugging drives and accessories. It comes with a socket for extra power, but without the power supply, but that is clearly stated in the particulars.

Attached to the leg of my desk, this USB hub is very handy.Great way to manage messy cabling, and no need to crawl around under the desk to plug in one's phone.So far after 11 months, no issues.

Como aspectos positivos, sólo puedo destacar 2:La construcción, porque está bien construido, y la idea.De ahí en fuera, me parece que tiene algo malo mi unidad, ya que le he encontrado varias fallas.Primero, el cable. Es muy largo, cosa que es un tanto innecesario, considerando que lo más seguro es que se use muy cerca del equipo. Dos opciones de cable hubiesen sido un plus.Segundo, la interacción con el equipo. Lo he probado en 2 equipos, uno con Windows 7 y otro con Windows 10, en ambos casos el sistema me refiere que el dispositivo podría funcionar mejor si lo conecto a un puerto de alta velocidad, cosa que así hago, ya que lo enchufo a un usb 3.0 y el hub se supone es 3.0. Tal vez sea el cable, el cual es muy largo, pero no teniendo uno corto, no podría probar esto.Tercero, la alimentación externa. Al conectar los 5v extra que se pueden suministrar para darle más potencia al hub, algo raro le pasa, ya que de vez en cuando, más de las veces que a mi me gustaría que pasara, el hub se desconecta y ya sabemos lo que eso puede representar, sobre todo si estamos moviendo archivos.Como hub con dispositivos 2.0, funciona bien.La verdad es que no lo pensaba devolver y no lo haré. Lo compré pensando que sería una solución y la verdad es que trae más problemas.Tal vez me tocó una unidad defectuosa; tal vez así es con todas las unidades. La compra es un volado, yo no apostaría por este producto.
