*warning* long postOne evening I trapped a critter in clear tape. I wasn't 100% sure what I'd found. I didn't want to alert the household, so I contacted the pest control company I used for my termite inspection when I purchased my first home. Initially during the consult, the rep didn't find anything suspicious around my bed or in the seams of the mattress or boxspring. That was good news but I wasn't letting her off that easily. The 5 year old had complained of a funny feeling of something on her whenever she got into bed. She didn't have any signs of being bitten but I was still concerned. Finally the rep said she couldn't detect any activity but that didn't mean nothing was lurking. I relented and showed her the critter I captured in between a piece of tape. Though it was tiny, she immediately confirmed my suspicions. She told me she would want to spray everywhere and encapsulate the boxspring and mattress in every bedroom. I had just spent $50 to $100 getting protectors for my own bed and she was ready to have me throw it away. She then asked me was there any other places she needed to check. I didn't have her check the child's room because I hadn't seen any evidence of activity and I was more curious about another location being ground zero for activity.I rarely sit in the living room but at that time, I had sat a few times to watch a few minutes of Family Fued with my mom who travels to/fro treatment using medical transport and she enjoyed watching the game show in the living room.It seemed like the few times I sat to watch the show, I would be itchy later. I asked her and the kiddo if they had any bug bites or felt itchy. They both said no emphatically. Since I experienced the itchiness and both of them don't have the sweat gland producing anything (or very little) l, I wanted to have a professional take a better look.I picked up the first woven cushion and turned my cellphone flashlight on so I wouldn't miss anything tiny. Happily, I didn't see anything. The rep took a second look. I picked up the next cushion and I nearly threw the cushion in my mom's direction, but caught myself because I didn't want the little basketball team of critters going anywhere. I yelled, cussed, and convulsed. My mom asked what?! The rep even looked surprised and began scribbling something on her clipboard. After a couple more obscenities, shakes, and recoil, I apologized for my reaction and exclaimed, "I knew it!!"I heard the rep mutter something, but my disgust returned... embarrassment crept in a little bit, along with a few dashes of anger. The rep told me I could call them back to schedule another visit to complete the estimate. I apologized again, rambled off some excuse for reaction, and told her no, let's get this going so I can know what I was dealing with. After a few minutes of the rep shuffling through the paper on clipboard (reminded me of the team of incompetent looking men who stood in the very spot she was in just a couple of weeks prior, to give me a quote to remove the very sectional that had become public enemy #1).The rep told me it would take $1500 to spray and zip up the bedding.Pardon me?! What in the almost a mortgage payment are YOU talking about?!?!?!She told me ordinarily they would offer customers the ability to pay the fee in installments, but that option ended two months before due to shady customers.I told her I wasn't worried about paying the fee, just the cost seemed ridiculous š š I took her quote, business card, thanked her for her time. I knew I immediately wanted a second estimate. But, I wanted to do something in the meantime.I jumped on Amazon and eventually came to this product. I liked the ratings and the customer feedback. If I ordered right away, I could get the product by end of next day... sweet!!I refused to sleep in my bed and decided to sleep in the child's room. She was out of town and would be none the wiser. Well, well... much to my surprise, I kept feeling this weird feeling as if something kept whisping over my face. Imagine a feather being lightly tickled across your face. It was annoying. I don't recall if I woke up with any bites, but the feeling was enough for me to feel bad for the baby. I got back on Amazon and bought a bag for her boxspring and went to Ashley's furniture store online ans bought mattress in a box. That day the spray arrived. I sprayed the child's room first. Then put the house on notice I was going to spray the second floor.I saturated the sectional that was in prestine condition. I sprayed every nook and cranny. I took the second bottle and attacked my room. The spray has a sweet smell that is a bit overwhelming, so I recommend opening the windows for good ventilation. Use gloves if possible, I felt drips from the neck of the bottle.I began seeing a few critters along the wall... like 3 over the course of a day. I guess they were trying to escape.I spot sprayed once or twice more that same week. I waited to a week to get the sweet smell out the house. I began devising a plan to get the sectional out again. Finally I settled on just throwing it out with the bulk trash pickup. The duo I mentioned earlier were incompetent and their estimate prices made no sense. I had wanted them to clear out a media room too. I wasn't being 'cheap.' I'm just a very logical person.Anywho, I knew I was going to replace the sectional and I had seen a brown (it actually was grey) sofa that would look nice in the space from big lots. Sometimes they sell the quality brands for a steal. This sofa was on sale for $900 no delivery. I just so happened to bump into this strapping 6' 8" man who had a huge truck and did sub contract work on the side. He agreed to move the sectional and move in my sofa and table I bought on the spot.So long story short... its been years and rather than spend $1500, I bought this product and would recommend it to anyone and will actually buy a bottle or two to keep it handy for the future!!Good luck y'all š

Couldnāt get pass the smell, Too powerful!
I couldnāt give anything over a one star because I only got to partially use it just once. I didnāt plan for me or my family to leave our home for four hours, 1st. mistake. My family came running to my room very upset wanting to know what I had sprayed. I was told never to use it again because it smelled so bad. The next day my two year old great grandson came running to my room as usual to give me a hug. He was stopped in his tracks inside my bedroom door. His nose was turned up and he was looking around my room as if he expected to see where the smell came from. He said āsomething stink!ā, I never heard him speak so clearly. This was the next day after spraying what I considered lightly and the smell was still strong although I could no longer smell it. My great grandson kept trying to find the object that smelt so bad. Me and my family had a big laugh at his sincere behavior. Because the smell is so bad I was never given the chance to learn how good or bad it actually worked. So I canāt even say if you can get pass the smell it works good at getting rid of bedbugs. This is written as a follow up months later. I must honestly say as much as that stuff stank it got rid of my bed bugs. Blue me away. Bedbugs were eating me alive every night. As I said I only got to spray my area and that just happened to be my bed. That night I think I got one or two small bite and that was the last bite. I wish I had taken pictures of my arms. The spots look more like someone put their cigarettes out on my arms but no one in my family smokes. After three days without a single bite I informed my family if I ever get bedbugs again I WILL use this bedbug cleaner and everyone could just go visit someone until the smell dies down some. The stuff really works and I now gladly give it five stars.

Effective
It smells terribly. It has very strong scent but it is very effective. I found the bugs lying on the floor dead in the morning.

TAKES A WHILE
First off, the bottle leaked when I sprayed it so I wound up losing a bit before I transferred ti to a new spray bottle. Second, it took several days before the hatchlings died. In order to observe its effectiveness, I put a chair I knew to be infested in a large plastic bag, sprayed all the nooks and crannies as well as the underside and then lightly (as per instructions) sprayed the seat and back. I then sealed the bag and waited to see what would happen. After a few hours, I observed a few adult bug crawling out and then falling off the chair onto the plastic. I let it sit for another day then came back and removed the plastic. I set out in a well ventilated area to let the smell dissipate. It's not overwhelming so it didn't lake long. I then sat in the chair thinking it was bug free. Unfortunately, within 15 to 20 minutes, I observed tiny white hatchlings crawling on my black slacks and the sleeves of my black shirt. Back into the plastic went the chair to be sprayed down and sealed in again. This time I left it for 4 days. Now the chair is bug free but it took a total of 5 days to eliminate the hatchlings and, I assume, any as of yet unhatched eggs. Granted, bed bugs are ridiculously hard to eliminate, I get that, but according to the promotional blurb listed with this product, I thought it would work much faster. It's probably not the best product out there but it will help as long as you just look at it as one of many weapons in your arsenal (along with a good vacuum cleaner, a strong furniture steamer, a webvac, and a large spray bottle filled with 90% Rubbing alcohol. NOTE: Spraying rubbing alcohol directly on them kills the ones you can see immediately, just make sure you aren't near any flames. And know that for every one you see, there are hundreds you can't see. FURTHER NOTE: You'll also need a very very hot dryer for your clothes and vacuum seal-able bags to store your clothing, linens, pillows, and stuffed animals in until the scourge is done away with once and for all. In the end you'll probably have to call in a professional exterminator if the problem is there but at least you'll have done all you can to prepare your home before hand. So far, my battle seems to be over and I haven't had to call in an exterminator but I know these bugs can hide and hibernate only to return months or even years later. ARGH! -PEACE-
