We used this on many of the parks. It gives you hints on where to go it you don’t have much time to go through the park.

This is a beautifully done book! All the gorgeous color pictures entice you to want to leave right now for any national park! Has lots of good information…and that’s based on the descriptions of the parks I’ve been to so I know what they are talking about. As always, you are still left wanting a bit more information (hence 4 stars), but really this is a great book and I would recommend it even though there are now 63 designated NPs. Don’t worry about that, just get this one until the count gets higher (like 65+ parks).

Very nice guidebook with pictures and maps of each park. Only thing is I bought this in early 2022 and wish I knew it was already outdated. First thing, there are now 63 national parks, not 62. Doesn't have any info on New River Gorge NP in WV. For those of us who live in the NE/Mid-Atlantic area, this would've been helpful since it's one of the closest NPs for us. Second, Zion has multiple hikes that aren't accessible due to a landslide in 2019. This isn't going to be opening back up any time soon. They need to update this section and provide alternatives.

I've been planning trips to the western Nationa Parks for months, but find the resouces on the NPS to be rather difficult to use. I also used Google Maps, but that is arduous and time consuming.This guide makes it easy to find campgrounds, trails and scenic drives at every National Park that I intend to visit. I also does a great job of highlighting the best times of the year to visit, along with other attractions.
