Excellent
Came exactly as described and arrived quickly. It’s a super good comic as far as I’ve read it, one of the greatest even. A lot of people say it’s one of the best comics made and I wouldn’t disagree.

If you don't know...
A colored version of uncanny men 139-144 I, think. Great read for xmen enthusiasts. Great Canon stories

Good set of issues, but not enough coverage of DOFP. Three issues explore something completely different.
I don't get to read graphic novels often, but when I have the time, I select one that I kow will be good. I was very eager to read this. I remember watching the Days of Future Past storyline in the Xmen 90's Cartoon on FOX, and now hearing about it in Singer's Xmen DOFP film, I wanted to see where it all started. Having read Watchmen and a few other graphic novels in the past few years, I was hoping for something epic. I was excited that I was going to see where it all started and see how much of the source material was kept in the other iterations. After reading it, I was quite satisfied but somewhat disappointed.First off, I didn't have any issues with the images or text as another reviewer mentioned. My issue seemed to be perfectly fine. I read my copy on the Kindle Fire HD 8.9". Now, for the story itself, upon seeing the cover image, I was so excited. But then I got through the five issues, and felt disappointed. The artwork is excellent, especially for that time when it was written.First issue is about saving Storm and explores Nightcrawler. This was quite good, but needed more development.Second issue was about Kitty Pryde beginning her training, and Wolverine and Alpha Flight's fight with Wendigo. Really good.Third issue begins the DOFP story. Fourth continues and ends it. It felt too short, to rushed, and not enough explored, especially with an idea so amazing, so big, with so much potential. But that's looking back at it, nearly forty years into the future. It felt like the 90's Xmen cartoon did a better job with the story. It felt more complex in the cartoon than it did in the graphic novel.Fifth issue is about Kitty Pryde benig able to handle herself while all alone at the mansion. A lot buildup, little climax, and kind of disappointing.Overall, it is a fun read, but felt they needed to go deeper, and get more complex. The DOFP definitely should have been a four-issue arc with such an amazing idea.

X-Men comics trumps movies
This is a reprint of the first X-Men time travel alternative future story I ever read. This is a wonderful story, better than the movie on all accounts.

Classic, yet garbage
This kindle edition composes the two isses of the titular series released in 1980. It also provides some back story issues that don't directly influence the plot of the Sentinels in Days of Future Past. It's a good story, and probably one of the series' most remembered. Its worth noting that it introduces Shadowcat (or back then Ariel/Sprite).The biggest hang up I have from rating this further, is copy quality. Over many, many pages, across numerous issues within this collection are word balloons what have lines of words that appear "pinched" and look like have of the letters are missing. Additionally, there is one spread, page 162-163 where the word balloon is black filled. As in, no words, just black ink with white dots. Now, I understand that these issues are 34 years old, but whomever chose these hard-copy issues as the one to use; and the quality editor who still thought that this was a fit product for sale should be evaluated for sight.Quality of product aside, it's definitely a series worth reading- I'd just caution against THIS format. At least until, or even if, the comic scans are reproduced at a better quality.

Classic!!!!
Every X-Men fan should own this collection. Even if you already own issues 141-142 in a Masterworks or Omnibus collection, it is still worth it to have this in your collection. The inclusion of Days of Future Present is vital to the storyline, and the inclusion of the 3 Excalibur issues even moreso! The Excalibur issues in particular are extremely informative and give tons of backstory that really help bring the grandiosity of this classic arc into sharp focus. Then we get Wolverine: Days Of Future Past. This is a nice little bonus tale that covers some of the details that occured leading up to the original story from UXM 141-142. Some people complained that key New Mutants issues were left out, but hey......people will always complain about something. Someone is bound to argue that Weapon X: Days of Future Now isn't included in this collection. Thats all good and well, but sometimes these collections can get bogged down in overkill. I can confidently say that this collection is just right! It gives you all you really need in order to say you have a highly definitive collection of the Days of Future Past arc. The quality of the book is outstanding to boot! Beautiful hardcover art and outstanding reproduction of the stories in terms of art, coloring and paper stock used. I highly recomment this to any X-Men fan new or old.

Days of Future Past in OHC & more
While Claremont's time on X-Men has many influential, sprawling sagas, Days of Future Past stands out as being succinct, only 2 issues, with little effect on subsequent issues, and yet has a timelessness to it. One of the quintessential pieces of time travel, post-apocalyptic fiction. The themes of fighting for a better future and defying destiny still resonate. This hardcover has both the main issues and tie-ins from the time.
