Great book with tasty spice blends
Wonderful book with enough background to be interesting but not overwhelming. Great recipes with spice blends that are tasty - not just hot. Not the same as found in many books. Only complaint was no sweets recipes but have made a few of the recipes now & family enjoys. Beet curry is a new favourite

Great easy to follow recipes!
I LOVE this book. I have been trying to learn Sri Lankan cooking from my mother in law, however it is always challenging because she doesn't follow a recipe. I was able to execute Sri Lankan dishes beautifully with this recipe book and they taste and look authentic. Thanks for the great book!

Great cookbook! Such a shame about the photos!
I really love the recipes in this book (you do have to like curries)... but unfortunately, all the photos are darkish and a bit murky. For example, a black pork curry recipe is in a black pot, so you can hardly see the detail in the dish. This detracts a little from the book for me as i like to see the colours and textures of the food. Maybe it was supposed to be part of the style of the book, but if you don't mind, that there are some interesting things to cook and I do like that there are veggie and seafood dishes included and I am looking forward to making quite a few of these.
