Just what I needed
Needed this to mount my anchor on the boat because anchor won't fit in anchor locker

Perfect anchor mounting solution
Having an oversize anchor that does not fit in the anchor hatch, I was able to secure my anchor out of the way on the opposite side of my bow from the trolling motor. The anchor is ready to deploy at a moments notice

Great way to secure your anchor
Works great. I moved my anchor to my the front deck of my boat (off to the side) and it freed up lots of walking space. I use a small bungee cord to secure the anchor in place, and it does not bounce or make any noise when the boat is moving. The parts are solid and well made.

Mod required for a Fortress anchor
The item itself is excellent, but this will not work without modification for a Fortress anchor as the head of the anchor still contacts the deck. I’ll have to mount this to a sheet of star board and allow for a cut out for the head to sit in so the whole thing is raised enough to avoid contacting the deck and secure properly

Well made, but I'm not using these
Nice, cast stainless. These are well made and an interesting design. I ended up storing my anchor in the bow roller, rather than installing these chocks, because it just worked out better for me that way due to the limited space in the bow well of my Hewescraft. I'm still not sure how well the cleat prongs would work to secure the shank of the anchor - ideally, the anchor chain itself would wrap around the horns of the cleat, but they're a little too small for that. Are we expected to use a separate piece of line? If so, there should be a way to secure the line to the cleat, so it isn't lost when the anchor isn't in the chocks.

Very reliable sturdy hold on a Danforth anchor
I have this exact configuration on my 1972 Formula 233 cuddy. It's up on very front of the boat. I have personally been using it for 10 years now and this is a great set up. We use the boat for all sorts of things between fishing, off shore ocean trips, beach days with kids, big ocean waves and no waves. I have never once seen the anchor flop up and down even in 5-6 foot seas, or when the boat has launched completely out of the water. It is not held with any additional fastener or bungee clip, just nestled into the chock per design. The bottom baseplate holds the base of the anchor, which prevents it from flopping around. In terms of size, you would just spread out the pieces to accommodate your particular anchor. I highly recommend.
