So needed for hard of hearing parent
We gave my dad TV ears some years ago and over time he lost, or broke them. When he came to live with us we needed those ears. After reading the Amazon reviews of the Unisar product we chose this one because he could use the button on the front to hear conversation, and because these are not "line of sight" earphones, they're wireless like a Bluetooth. Well, they're amazing. He is extremely hard of hearing, we have to shout even when the hearing aids are in his ears, but he hears TV again with these. He takes out his hearing aids when he uses these, and they work just fine for him. He is so happy to hear all the news again, and be able to watch his favorite movies and hear all the dialog. We are thrilled to be able to hold conversations, work, and live without losing our hearing to an overloud TV volume. Even if you turn the in-room volume down to mute, the user of this product can turn their volume up and still have the same experience of hearing the sound. It also comes with a microphone to set near a TV or radio if it doesn't have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Using that will amplify the sound from the device but will also pick up room noise. Most TV's and radios nowadays have the headphone jack but if you don't, there is an option in the box.A few things to be aware of, this is a wireless device like a Bluetooth. Sometimes when you start the unit, you have to turn both parts of the unit off and reset it because the units need to sync up to each other, just like with a Bluetooth headpiece. The batteries are rechargeable and there is a built in charger, you get two for up to 4 hours of use, but each is only good for 2 hours, so be aware of the use time. Finally, you may need longer 3.5 mm audio wires, they come with the needed plugs at both ends, to make the connection between the unit and TV set if your set hangs on the wall over a fireplace, or extra connection wires if you want to easily move it to different TVs on different levels of your house. if your main set is up high on the wall, or your plug is in on an unwieldy part of a big TV and hard to reach, you probably will need to get some longer wires. They are cheap and easy to find.

Great Listening Device!
I ordered & received two Unisar DH900 devices on 6/24/15 (one for bedroom, one for living room). I have used TV ears for two years or so until eventually all the headsets broke (3 units). Having some hearing difficulty at low TV volume I needed a replacement device. I tried another ‘under the chin’ brand but their IR reception was bad. I then tried a set of over the ear wireless headphones that again used IR technology and the reception was still not good plus they were not comfortable, for me anyway. They made me realize I do not want over the ear headphones. I then ordered the Unisar DH900 mainly because they use RF technology. I installed last night, charged the batteries for three hours and they worked very well. I have one installed in living room connected to the audio out L&R connections on my DirecTV DVR. I have the other installed in the bedroom connected to the audio out L&R connections on my TV. The RF reception for both is very good. I do not have to be concerned with needing a direct line of sight between headphones and transmitter. The left & right arms that hold the ear pieces have flexible joints that relieve stress on these arms. This is where all of my TV ears failed. Also, the flexible joints make for a looser more comfortable fit for me. The DH900 appears very well constructed overall. The sound is very good imo, volume control works well and the left-right balance adjustment works well for me as hearing in my right ear is a little worse than left. I do not need to use these in day time viewing as I can have TV volume up enough to hear without a problem. I need this at night when my wife is sleeping and for the times I simply want to lay in bed and watch TV while she is in the living room watching TV. BTW, I am 67 years old.

Unacceptable.
I thought it would be a great replacement of the catastrophically poor durability of TV Ears. The concept of the Unisar is great, the reviews were great, so I ordered one. I thought the unit I received was defective, so I filed for return, and ordered a new one.The new one is the same. The good: the sound quality is acceptable. The transmission from transmitter to receiver is acceptable. You can turn your body around, and still get OK reception.BUT:1) There is objectionable hiss. You can hear it with the TV off (or on). It's greatest with the volume down at zero. It diminishes between minimum and maximum volume, than it goes up again after that. If the TV's line output is fixed, you're out of luck; you cannot adjust the input into the transmitter so the headset volume is at that middle - where the hiss is perfectly acceptable. I know of no wireless device that produce so much hiss - and this is a defect. The fact that no other reviewer mentions hiss it may reflect a population of hard of hearing people who cannot hear the hiss and don't complain...2) There is a split second delay - because it's digital. If you happen to have a sound bar connected digitally to the TV, you're fine - they are both delayed equally, so there is no sense of echo. If you are listening through the TV's speakers, there is an annoying echo.3) TV ears sat just fine on the ears. If you're in bed lying down, TV Ears is totally unobtrusive. This one cannot be worn if you're erect. the contraption is just too heavy, and after 15 minutes you're likely to start changing the position to find a better one - then, after 1/2 hour, you're tempted to take a little time off. But I'm sure I could have gotten used to problem (2) and (3) if it weren't for the loud hiss at low volume.I'm returning both devices.
