With apologies to the vendor and steak eaters... This is the BEST tea tray for gongfu cha! It fits my gaiwan, pitcher, and a couple of cups neatly. The moat takes care of any drips and it looks fantastic! If I need more room, I flip it to the flat side and just have a little towel handy to mop up spills if needed. I love olivewood and it's my primary kitchen wood, so I was quite pleased to find something in a larger size than most cheese boards and whatnot. The handle is also helpful when carrying or to hang it.

The grain on olive wood is so interesting. I received my board today, washed it thoroughly with soap and warm water, then seasoned it with olive oil. Beautiful. It has a nice thickness and was well finished. You can prepare a good-sized sandwich on this board. I look forward to buying a larger size as well.I wish there were platters available; something the size that a hot plate could be placed within. Americans tend to carry their food around instead of eating at a table these days.

My new olive wood carving board is truly a piece of nature’s art. I build many items from wood from furniture to olive wood snack bowls and olive wood is by far my favorite wood. This carving board is so unique and I can’t wait to show it off as a serving tray for some of my home made Boudin sausage and manchego cheese.
