Q: What size is this? obviously it is not as stated - 10 x 10 x 15.7"

My earlier answer mistakenly said "about 8.5 by 5.5 inches" -- that's a different chain to clean cast iron pans. I found my baking cover again, and it is easily 15.7 inches. I stretched it out to about 13 inches by 18 inches.

Q: What are the outside dimensions when laid flat and what size are the chain holes?

About 8.5 x 5.5 inches. the holes are small -- at most 1/4 inch.

Q: This item is expensive for what it is. why is that? and could i use this as well for cleaning cast iron pots and pans? is it the same gauge?

Expensive because it's heavy stainless steel chainmail.
