wonderfully smooth

I bought this paper based on the recommendation of a good friend. I searched high and low for it before it dawned on me to check Amazon...duh! Of course, Amazon had it. And at a decent price. I ordered a pad since I had only worked with watercolor paper in block form before.I don't think I'll order this again. The paper wasn't all that hot. (haha - get it? It's hot press paper!) It worked ok for the two pieces I've done with it so far, but I'm not excited to rush back and use it again. I'm going to try tearing the paper off the pad before using it to see if that makes a difference because the two pieces I completed left some of the sheets underneath a bit messy. (I didn't realize how crazy I get when I create I guess.) It's my fault there is watercolor and acrylic paint on some of the other sheets, but I am very careful when I paint (much more than most of the people I know) so I can't figure out how the under pages got bent on the corners. And forget about the top page that should protect the paper - that's toast. I have probably spent 9-10 hours working on this pad and it was used just to paint two pictures...I don't feel the pad should be in as bad shape as it is. It also doesn't help that the pad was delivered a little beat up - a gouge in the left side of the pad and the bottom left corner was bent. I'm not being a baby - it wasn't just the cardboard backing that was bent but all pages were bent/smooshed on the bottom left corner. I don't think I'll order this again so it's back to checking out other HP paper. I should mention that my friend still swears by this paper in this form. She still recommends it highly.

Mit der Zeit habe ich viele Sorten einiger Hersteller ausprobiert, diesen Block habe ich in kleinerer Version in Belfast gekauft und war begeistert. Das Papier nimmt Wasser gut auf, die Farbe hat Zeit, sich zu vermischen. Das Papier wellt nicht. Der Block ist auf einer Seite geleimt. Bei meinem Händler bekomme ich Daler-Rowney nicht, deshalb gerne wieder online.

El papel parece adecuado, pero venía empaquetado fatal en una caja que estaba super justa y el producto venía arrugado en los extremos.

I love the smooth finish of this paper, superb weight and thickness, ideal for my work which is very intense gouache and pen. It is my absolute favourite paper to use.

not 5 stars as i haven't used this paper yet but it look just amazing. White enough, really smooth, and it is very thick and heavy.Can't wait to draw something on it.
