A kids dream come true!
My son actually found this item and said this was what he wanted for his birthday. He takes it to all our family get togethers and there is always a line of kids and some adults. A huge hit for all our gatherings! I bought the Floss sugar 3 pack plus I bought some paper candy cones for him to pass out so everyone can make their own and take it.

Works Well, Didn't Get Reusable Cones
4 stars because not everything was included. The machine overall is nice. Most of the people here complaining are issues regarding user error. As long as you follow the directions and load the sugar evenly, it should churn out a decent chunk of cotton candy every 5 minutes. If you plan on doing this for any major production like parties or carnivals, look elsewhere as it's mostly enough for 1 or 2 people. If you wait for the sugar to start webbing then horizontally spin above slow then fast, it'll turn out properly.Cleaning can be a little bit of a pain, as the inside of the spindal has very tight corners that can be a bit tedious.Overall, better alternative than going out to buy cotton candy constantly, however you get what you pay for. You'll basically have to spend a good 6-8 hours slaving over the machine to break even cost-wise.

Small and simple
The media could not be loaded. Liked: it worked after some time maker sure you allow it to heat up for at least the 10 minutes... it makes a huge difference.Disliked:- it took forever to heat up patience is something it definitely taught me- the serving size is for a toddler... I was expecting to get at least 2 servings with each scoop of sugar- u have to turn off the spin between servingsOverall: served its purpose affordable

Happy 10 Year Old
I wasn’t looking forward to this purchase because I did not want to have to make cotton Candy all the time. But, this machine is so easy to use!!! My 10 year old got one lesson on how to operate this thing & she was a pro!!! It’s very easy to use and to clean. Just monitor how much cotton candy your child makes, mine went crazy 🤣🤣

Good for what it is.
Don't use hard candy in this thing for one. You'll gunk it up and it'll never work right. I bought a bag of 32ish flavors that you add your own sugar to and that's been amazing. Though I'd suggest using half the amount of sugar they recommend for better flavor. One other drawback is that this thing feels like it's going to take off. Not sure if mine was bad but it's very unbalanced. I didn't want to deal with the return process so I'm living with it.Lastly you can't make a lot in one go. You'll never get a big bushy ball of cotton candy from the small amount you can put in this thing. Using two scoops sends sugar flying.Despite the negatives I'm happy with my purchase. Eating my own 32 flavors of cotton candy whenever I want, can't beat that.

Bad reviewers are user error
I was nervous to purchase this as some of the reviews were not promising, but I’ve always wanted this particular one and my son was asking for one, so I got it for his birthday. We opened it last night and this thing really delivered! It does work as advertised! We have used various hard candies and flossing sugar and have not had any issues.Another review mentions to ensure the extractor head is properly aligned with the little notches when installing, and that is correct. The notches need to be lined kk for the extractor head to sit properly on the unit. This is not mentioned in the instruction manual, but is easy to see after removing the extractor head. The only complaint I have is a lot of sugar does collect on the sides when using flossing sugar, but that does not really effect the cotton candy or the ability of the machine to produce.I will also say that another review mentioned a fire from hard candy sugar melting into the center. You should definitely ensure you are ready to spin the cotton candy right as it comes out as it produces fast especially from the hard candies, and if you are letting it fall all over there will be a risk of it falling into the coil, but again this comes down to proper use.So glad we bought this machine. It will get tons of use from us!(The picture I attached is a cone after spinning two scoops individually)

Take your time
Read the manual so you will know you need to let the machine warm up at least 10 minutes before beginning.Don't add to much sugar, like a 2/3rd of the scoop is enough and more manageable.Once you begin, be patient and roll the cotton candy as it comes out, gradually getting more and more in the process. When the sugar is gone, add another scoop and repeat.Once you're done making cotton candy, gently disassemble the maker and clean up the bowl. That's it!

Awesome cotton candy
Just make sure to follow the directions. It was super fun to use. I used jolly ranchers only 2 at a time and got a softball sized ball of cotton candy. Somehow the flavour was intensified!! I tried tge green apple and I got pucker face, lol.

Pretty impressive
After reading other reviews, a lot of the lower ratings seem to be from user error. This is a simple device, that spins sugar into floss.I find that a sugar mixture of granulated sugar, Loranns Flavour oil and a bit of Wiltons food dye, make a much fluffier batt than hard candy. Hard candy is also better if you crush it up first. The small the pieces the fluffier your batt will be.

Wow! It's slower than commercial ones but it's fun!
It works! A scoop of regular sugar came out a beautiful cotton Candy! The machine is for household use so it's much slower than the commercial ones, you must preheat for at least 10 mins before use, but it's pretty fun to make your own cotton candy at home. The taste is not as good as what they sell on street though, probably because I only used regular sugar instead of floss sugar. The only down side is it's slow and there are lots sugar residue inside of the rim which isn't easy to clean. There are some melt sugar on the spin thing which later on become solid, even after first use. Besides that, this little machine actually works perfectly and make good enough cotton candy. Plus basically NO noise at all.
