Wish I had read this book before I purchased the dog -- not that I dont love that little girl! But I would have been aware from the day I bought her what I should be looking out for in her development that could prevent problems with knees at a later date when she is older. Los of really good tips for training and other aspects of the tiny dogs needs and precautions. If you are thinking of buying this shichon you won't regret purchasing this book.

Aside from the Front cover, the title and a few things about the breed in the beginning this books...it is not customized for Shichon owners. For example I want to know what Shichon's like to eat or what's good for them.. not dogs in general. Whats' specific to the breed. I honestly found motor about Shichons online through blogs and YouTube videos. This was a waste of my money.

I have always owned large dogs and this was my first experience with a small breed. I had already decided on a Shichon (and in fact had him already) when I bought the book but I found it quite helpful with many other aspects of the breed. If you haven't purchased your Shichon yet it has much advice in choosing a breeder and a puppy.

I've had Labrador Retrievers all my life. Training each one was enjoyable and relatively easy. Then, I purchased a Teddy Bear pup. I was at a loss how to train this combination breed. This book helped me through the training stages of my adorable pup. She is more Shit zu than Bison if you get my drift. But, I love her to pieces.

Load of crap! Half of it not even breed specific the rest patronising and jumping on the awful & out dated dominance/pack leader train!! Very annoying!
