My boss told me about this stuff and how it's supposed to be like jerky chew. But, this stuff smells and tastes gross. Maybe this is how it's supposed to taste, but if you don't want your food to taste like a zoo or barn smells, you don't want this.Also, I don't think the ingredients are labeled properly. It says "beef and salt without conservatives" which I assume means that without preservatives, but there are spices in here of some kind.

Best carne seca but price was below $26 not long ago and now over $36 no way I’m buying again 🙃

I use this finely shredded beef jerky for my breakfast burros. Put a healthy pinch in a small bowl add enough water to saturate it, cover and let rest. Stir in to eggs or add to potato or garden salads. It is a wonderful product to use for any cooking not just traditional Mexican dishes.The flavor is natural and can seem slightly decayed but real jerky does. This is not plastic-ized jerky you buy in your suburban grocery stores this is air dried beef and simply delicious.

It is good but the original Sonora Mex is much better

This brand is great, I have purchased some that the taste was just horrible. This brand is great to make for breakfast with eggs or in salsa. LOVE IT will def. buy again
