Wilton Pumpkin Faces 6 Cavity Silicone Mold

I bought these to make melt & pour Halloween soaps. They popped out of the mold easily and made a good size soap.

I was seriously excited about this pan when I bought it. I have never used silicone in my baking so perhaps my pitfalls are caused by lack of knowledge in dealing with this material. But I found that I didn't get a very good 'face' on my baked items. And I had to cook things a lot longer than with metal pans. Something I didn't know when first pulling it out of the oven. Its a little difficult when doing muffins to peel them out of the pan. All in all I'm sure its a great pan for someone more comfortable with them!

We bought this to make some cakes for Halloween and they turned out perfectly and came out of the mould easily. We then used it to make some Halloween jelly and once again no issues at all.Overall very pleased and no regrets with this purchase

I purchased these pumpkin molds after seeing a post on Pinterest for Halloween brownies. The tutorial I read used a traditional metal pan (also from Wilton) however that pan appeared to be discontinued because I could only find it on Amazon.com for $60+. This pan (and probably any other silicone pan) is not suitable for brownies. They did not hold their shape nor did the faces show up on the brownies. I gave it a 3 star because it might be good for cupcakes or candy, but it's definitely not good for brownies.
