An absolute lifesaver! If your dog doesn't chew, look no further!
Firstly, if you're anything like me your first thought is that this is too good to be true. Secondly, I don't normally do reviews so this in itself means I want to get my words out there. My dog is an 11 year old German Shepherd whose never had anything wrong with her and never had a surgery aside from getting fixed needed a surgery. I'll spare you details but she had to have exploratory surgery which means pretty large cuts near her lady bits and tummy. She has 21 staples as well as a drainage tube. The vet gave me one of those plastic cones, which I tried putting on her and while she was still getting over the anesthesia.. . She was horrified and seemed to almost do more harm than good. She was like a cat trying to back up in a corner and tear it off. So I looked only and found a comfy cone, bought that and took off work the next two days so I could watch her. Comfy cone comes in and I tried putting that on her. Yeah, no way. I'm gonna be honest, I'm an absolute sucker when my dog is in pain or uncomfortable so I did what they tell you NOT to do,take it off. If you're anything like me you already feel horrible about taking your dog to the vet. So I looked around and saw this recovery suit. Yeah no way too good to be true. At this point, I said screw it because two cones weren't working and we have two weeks to get through which I sure cannot take off two weeks to watch her. I ordered it, got it quickly within 2 days thanks to Prime. I put it on her which it fit absolutely perfectly. My dog is 85 pounds and I bought a large. I read the reviews and someone said the quality wasn't worth the money and the sizing was off. Not sure where they got that because I don't think the quality is bad at all. It feels exactly like a onesy that you buy a toddler. It has butt snaps too! It completely covers her tummy and lady area so it was perfect. Not too tight on her arms or leg holes either. I've never really put clothes on her so I didn't know what was gonna happen. Nothing.. Nothing happened. That was 4 days ago and she's left her staples alone ever since. I keep it on her while I'm at work, block off the stairs and she doesn't even itch. We have cameras in our house so I keep checking in while at work and you'd never even know she had surgery. I hate to sound like just another pandering review here but it saved her! She's completely comfortable and not in a scary cone. My girl never was a real chewer so I can see why some people didn't like the product if their dog ate it. If your dog is a chewer, maybe not the best idea but that has nothing to do with the product itself. If your dog is a chewer don't put something on them that they can chew! Duh guys! I know for me, this product helps me sleep at night knowing she won't mess with her 21 staples and I can go back to concentrating on work (gottta get the money back for the surgery too of course). I personally would like to thank whoever came up with this idea, it's brilliant and I'd love to buy you a beer. If you're debating on this product and your dog doesn't chew stuff, buy it! You will be so thankful. It's the most comfortable they can be while having to deal with staples or stitches. Just make sure you take it off before you let them out because it covers the dirty business end of the dog. For me, it's a routine when I get home.. "hi mom I didn't mess with my staples but I gotta pee so take this off!" done. Thank you so much for making such a simple yet effective product I'll forever be thankful!!

Spare your dog the misery of a cone!
I love this Suitical Recovery Suit! My dog was spayed and sent home with a cone. She was so miserable. My friend suggested buying a onesie. This was perfect! No more cone!! It was soft and comfortable and my dog was so much happier. It has snaps on top near the tail and you just unsnap the back panel when you take your dog out to potty. I just tucked the panel under the top and bottom piece.I ordered a Medium + for my Golden Doodle. She weighs 45lbs.

Wonderful
Used it after my large rhodesian ridgeback was nutered recently. I knew he'd be completely freaked out by the cone the vet wanted him to wear. Even a soft cone wouldnt work for him. Hes a good boy but theres just some things he finds intolerable & i knew a big cone on his neck- blocking his vision & scraping on everything would definitely be one of them. So I ordered this ahead of time- hes 99lbs of pure muscle & the large was a bit tight but stretched after a bit & he seemed comfy. Any bigger & he might have had too much gap around the back legs that might have let him have access to the surgery site. I washed it & hung it to dry (didnt want to risk it shrinking at all) & im sooooo grateful i got it. He was almost hysterical from the cone the vet put on him. Once i took that off he let me put on his 'jammies' w no issue. He never tried 2 chew them (though the licked the cloth over the surgery site several time). I found it slightly annoying to be pinning it up every time he had 2 go out to potty- but not as annoying as dealing with a cone would have been. He healed perfectly. Super thrilled with this product.Only side effect i saw was that i got so used to seeing him in this outfit- he looked oddly naked once we took it off. LOL

Worked Well for my Dog
So I just went through the neutering process with my doodle. I purchased this suit in hopes that i could avoid using a cone with a 80lb dog who thinks he's a lap dog. Unfortunately my dog started to lick the suit which in turn gets the suit wet which can cause infection and slow healing. This has NOTHING to do with the suit though, my dog just happened to lick..The suit its self fits very well although mine might had been a smidgen big. If the dog has to go out, its as easy as unsnapping the buttons and then just rolling it up. I personally never used the little strap as I found it more of an annoyance to use then useful. So I just rolled it up and then tucked it inside of the suite. Never once had it come unrolled, even with him shaking off. Its also held up pretty well with him trying to scratch his sides, no holes of any kind after a MONTH of usage.Only thing you have to keep an eye on is unsnapping and pulling up the suit..... I was walking him out, "Dude why you peeing so weird" "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" Forget to unsnap and roll it up lol Makes quite the mess :)

They thought of everything...
I was dreading the two week neuter recovery period for my 85 pound American Bulldog. We hate the cone of shame. I researched prior to the surgery and ordered a large and an XL to have ready. As you can see from the pictures, I also ordered an inflatable neck cone. I was sure glad to have this bodysuit because when I went to get him, they said he could still reach the incision with the inflatable collar. However, with both the bodysuit and inflatable collar, we are in good shape. For measuring purposes, my AB is between 80 to 85 pounds. He has a 27 inch long back, 21 inch neck and 31 inch chest. I was worried about his broad chest. The large fits him very well. I am returning the XL and getting a second large to change out. The outfit really stretches well to accommodate his large chest. I love this! I would not use it alone but together with the inflatable collar is great!Update: I ordered three suits and loved them. The sizing was perfect. Dog wore them a week and I washed them. They no longer fit. Too expensive for one week of use. I will reorder in XL and just wash before use. Very disappointed because large was so perfect. I will update if XL works out.

No more 'Cone of Shame', a brilliant alternative!
Just brilliant!! I can't big this item up enough. We bought it for our Golden Retriever, Indy, following his neutering operation. The 'Cone of Shame' (as in shame that vets still think they are a good idea) utterly traumatised him before we even got it on his head :-( and the inflatable neck pad didn't stop him being able to lick himself. We ordered this funky little outfit and after a sleepless night, where we took it in turns to watch the dog while he slept to make sure he didn't get to his operation site, it arrived - and it was BRILLIANT. The dog was comfortable in the soft, stretchy material, it stopped him even trying to lick his wound and we could get some sleep!! It's easy to get on, even for a big dog, and the press studs make it easy to roll up when it was toilet time, there is even a little clip round strip to hold the material in place while the dog does his business. In retrospect, we should have got two, as Indy was less amused by my husband's underpants we put on him when we had to wash the suit. This was a brilliant purchase and worked wonders for our dog.

Brilliant - so much better than a cone collar!
Brilliant post surgery suit! I ordered a medium as my 10mth border collie's back is 60cm but if she wasn't such a slim build it would not have fitted (too small). It's at full stretch across her chest (her chest is 17cm wide) but apart from that it fits comfortably. So I suggest if you've got a wide dog you buy 1 size up. One small design fault is when you un pop the buttons by her tail for her to go out for a wee there is no where to attach the bottom bits of fabric - they're just left dangling. I found a way round it by pulling them up her side and up to the base of her back and poppering them back to the 2 top sets of poppers (that are the top bit of fabric that goes down to the tail).

Her neck size is 16 inches and chest is 25 inches. It fits very well but the belly is a little baggy (a little) so I have to sometimes check to make sure she hasn’t bitten her bandage on her belly from being spayed. But so far (after 3 days and 2 nights) she hasn’t touched it. The suit hides it well despite the tad baggy ness. She loves this suit much more than the cone on her head. Plus she looks cute in it! :)Only downside is having to unbutton her butt every time she needs the toilet but if it didn’t have the buttons then she would easily get to her wound. When we first put it on her she didn’t like the feeling on her backside but she got used to it very quickly especially since she’s never worn clothes before. I love it!

Very nice, but it doesn't stop them licking
Bought this for post-castration recovery for our miniature poodle. He likes wearing it, it's soft and comfortable and looks very cute. Unfortunately, we noticed from day one that it doesn't stop a determined licker and it soon got very wet. Even with a sanitary towel in the pouch, the licking continued and the suit got soggy. We added an inflatable collar on day 2, and have now had to go for the good old-fashioned cone. Worth a try, but unfortunately not suitable for all dogs, and it's probably quite random as to whether it works yours.

Brilliant product for post op recovery
I bought his for my 6 mth shih tzu for after his neutering op and it has been brilliant. It fits him a treat and rolls up easily for letting him out to toilet. He hasn't minded wearing it at all and is a great alternative to the Cone.
