Making Spirits Bright Audio Diana Ross

A spectacular vocal performance from Diana , who at times on this well produced Christmas CD actually veers into almost operatic territory.This is a welcome addition to Christmas. It will make your holiday warm and memorable.

Diana Ross sings six out of twelve songs on this cd, but for the price (99 cents plus S&H) I really cannot complain.If you are a fan of Diana Ross and a collector than this is a 'must have' item. I was hoping for some better song selections but her previous Christmas CD "A Very Special Season" has them and I basically bought this as bonus tracks. Her voice is very angelic and well suited for Christmas carols. Delivery was prompt and exactly as described, "Used, in good condition" is not something I usually would think to purchase but again for the price I took the chance. Glad I did, if you're a fan you know that you have to buy her musicon line because they certainly aren't selling it in the stores.Whenever I can't find anything I'm looking for Amazon always comes to my rescue, whether it be them or another seller they will stand by the product or make a return as easy as possible.

I loved this collection of Christmas tunes, which I originally owned in an audiocassette format. I was happy to find it in a CD form. It's a nice mix of traditional and contemporary music for the holidays.

Of the 12 songs on this CD, Diana Ross is heard on six of them. The others are done by the London Symphony Orchestra and the King.s Singers. Tracks I like are Go Tell it on the Mountain, I Heard the Bells (on Xmas Day), The First Noel and O Little Town of Bethlehem. The latter two songs were recorded by Diana back in the 60s for her Christmas album with the Supremes. They didn't make the album, but they were heard when Motown (Universal) opened its "vaults" and released them on subsequent CDs.If you want to hear more of Diana Ross doing Christmas songs, get her "A Very Special Season" CD. It's NOT available in the U.S. but you can get it on amazon.com That's how I got it, and it's really good.

I can say that this Christmas CD, is so very memorable.The first copy I ever obtained, came from HallMark, during a Christmas Special they ran at their stores. I took it home and listened to the music, over and over. There was one song, which has meant the most of all to me, "I heard the Bells, on Christmas Day". Probably, because I had just lost my mother, and this song, said it all. For those who have lost a dear loved one, especially during or around the Holiday Season, I encounrage you to listen hear, the depth, and meaning this song represents. As we all know, there are some voices which can move the spirit, like Ms Ross.

Exactly what I was looking for, but the case was broken upon arrival.
