Worked well. Get instructions on YouTube
Worked great. Restored four Columbia shells and liners. Went to YouTube for videos of instructions. I was skeptical about the small tabs stops but they worked out just fine. I also wondered why there were so many in the package because I only used one for each zipper. I finished the last jacket in just a few minutes. Tips to make the install easier: 1. To take off the old plastic tab stop, nip off the edge overhanging the fabric edge with a pair of diagonals. The remaining portion can then be easily pulled off. 2. I found the new slider opening a tad too tight so I used the screwdriver on the sides to pry them slightly wider. 3. Installing the new tab stops went a lot easier if I placed the small piece standing up on my work surface and then picked it up with the pliers. After that, just push the zipper edge against the tab stop already in the plier and crimp down.

Zipper Stops Aren't Very Good
I bought this zipper kit to replace a broken zipper pull in a Columbia fleece vest. The zipper pull is the right size and works well, however the zipper stop is dreadful. It takes a lot of force to close it with pliers and when I finally got enough pressure going to clamp it onto the end of the zipper teeth, the zipper stop snapped in two. Now I have to find some other kind of zipper stop to use because this type is not good. The original garment zipper came with a three-prong zipper stop, so I will have to see if I can find some of those to use.

Super tight on an older #5 Vislon zipper
My jacket is about 20yrs old & this replacement zipper was extremely tight & not usable out of the box.. My old zipper pull has an inner width of 0.125" & this replacement is about 15thou (.015") narrower at 0.111". That's enough of a difference to make these zipper pulls poor replacements for older YKK #5 Vislon zippers like mine. To make it work I sanded off the interior of the zipper pull to remove the paint & create a little more space. Then I pryed it open with a flat head screwdriver too.. Still super tight & barely usable. I'm certain YKK has changed the dimensions of the #5 zippers in recent years, or perhaps these are knockoffs with poor tolerance.

Genius product
Very easy and economical way to repair an inoperable zipper without the need to have an entire zipper removed requiring a tailor.

Good for the money
I got a Columbia winter jacket, but the slider is broken. Even though the manufacturer provides a lifetime warranty, I need to pay shipment back. The fix kits are easy to use. But I still check some videos on how to fix it.step 1: remove the stopper on the top of the zipper.step 2: remove the broken slider.Step 3: install the new one.Step 4: Install the stoper on the top againOne question, why fourteen stopers with three sliders in the package? What is the reason for sellers to do that?

Worked perfectly!
So much less money and much easier than replacing the zipper. They come in a pack of three which in a way is crazy because I’m unlikely to use the others but you never know and shipping one is even crazier.

Easy to use
I bought this to replace zipper for my reversible vest.It was easy to put on and move smoothly.Unfortunate thing was that it wasn’t good fit with the plastic zipper of my vest so didn’t work.
