Adobe Premiere Elements 2021|Premiere|1 Device|Windows/Mac|Disc

I have been an Adobe Premiere Elements user for many years now and previous versions have served me very well despite a few bugs that all of them have had.I use a Mac Mini with OS 10-14-6 and produce videos of local interest and save these to either DVD, Blu Ray or as an ISO file. PE14 performed these tasks very well.I now find with PE21 the option to burn to optical disc or ISO has been removed. In my view this is a huge retrograde step. Adobe needs to understand that cloud storage or sharing on social media is inappropriate for many users like myself who produce serious videos.This software is very much like the previous versions of Premiere Elements but with a lot of new gongs and whistles which are probably of little use to serious video producers, however I can see that some of the new transitions and PIP functions may well be useful. The layout of the main screen is very slightly different to that of PE14 but easy to adjust to. The way the whole program works is very similar to previous versions.I would have given this software a five star rating but without the ability to burn to disc this program is no better, in fact it is much poorer, than PE14. Come on Adobe - optical discs may be old technology but they work and are an excellent method of storing both information and sharing large sized videos. (If it aint broke then don't fix it!)I fear that this version is likely to be too pricey and complicated for those who like to share relatively short and simple video material on the likes of YouTube, and unsuitable for the likes of myself who produce high quality material but now cannot export the finished work to optical disc.Having now used this software for a couple of projects i have downgraded my assessment to two stars - why?There are still bugs in the software where the program will freeze or crash altogether. This is not acceptable especially in the middle of a lengthy video editing session.The program is also very slow, both to load and also when performing some editing. In particular when using some of the transitions.I now wonder why I decided to purchase this PE version. I should have stuck with my PE14 which, despite a few problems, is streets ahead of this version.

Having upgraded to the latest 2021 version, found out that this version doesn't support my camera.Having loaded the program I found that it did not recognise my DVD writer.After a few messages from Adobe the problem was not resolved.To edit my video I have to download it to my old computer running an earlier version of this program, copy the file to my new computer so that I can use the latest version updates then burn it using another DVD burn program.Not very satisfactory.
