A Must-Buy Lil’ Ripper!
If you are new to RC and looking for something entry level but with a little more of an edge than something you’d find at a random retailer, this little truck is a MUST. Even if you’re a seasoned RC’er, the Mini-T needs to be in your collection. This car is so much fun to drive, I bought a second one immediately so that my wife and I both have one.Right out of the box, this thing is fast. There are some great aluminum hop-up parts that will come in handy when you start bashing this thing, but when it comes to RTR, it doesn’t get much better than this. You can charge the battery, pop the batteries into the controller, and you’re ready to kick up dust!Some things to take note of:- This little one is an absolute wheelie monster. Try to ease into the throttle and get acquainted with it. You WILL scrape up the rear of the spoiler, so just beware of it. As an aside, the spoiler can be disconnected and replaced. I recommend possibly reinforcing the top back edge of it with something to help reduce wear- The steering is SUPER sensitive, which is awesome, but just be aware of it. Try to be gentle with it and don’t jerk the wheel around too much. When going from my souped up 1/10 Arrma to the Mini-T, I had to really train myself to go easy on the steering and take softer turns. The truck is so light that it doesn’t drift as much as other larger trucks might.- You will lose a body clip! I recommend just having a lot of 1/18 clips on hand (they’re super cheap) and do the same for any other scale RC you have on hand. For my Arrma Voltage, I have the clip ties that keep them from getting lost. You may be able to find some for the Mini-T too. Otherwise just have a case of extras on hand.I love this little beast and if you’re on the fence about anything but the budget fits for you, just do it. You’ll have fun. If you find that it’s not the car for you to kick it with, there is most definitely someone out there that will adore this thing. Give it to the kid down the street!
