Disappointed with the dvd, l supposed it was my fault, didn't read the ad properly. Thought it was going to be them singing they sings not listening to people talking about them.

Its like something a kid did as a school project...

What a disappointment. As an old review of 'the Movie' once said: 'everything is fine about Abba, except the film they have made, it is awful'. Well Abba didn't actually make this - but I bet they're glad! There was a great opportunity here to feature FULL footage of song performances from TV shows around the world. Instead what you get is tiny snippets of their performances in a tiny onscreen tv frame (even worse!), and copious amounts of dull turgid commentary from people you've never heard of who take up far too much screen time. If you want to listen to (and watch) unknown presenters constantly interrupting the 'performances' and telling you things you either knew already or didn't need to know - then buy this. I would give it zero stars - however, Abba do feature, and with an interesting version of 'Money Money Money' live on a Japanese TV show. So 2 stars for that.

This release is a waste of time and money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS RUBBISH. The DVD box says "This DVD draws on rare footage of Abba performing their greatest hits live from television and film archives" Well it would be great to see these clips, But you dont realy get to see them. What actually happens is there is a load of commentary over a badly filmed and badly angled setting of a tv that is screening snippets of abba. The bits are so brief its pointless. nothing is complete and they repeat the same clips over and over thus illustrating they had nothing much to "draw on" in the first place. You cant hear the clips very well either because of the stupid commentary that drowns it all out. It wouldnt be so bad if you actually learned something about the group but you will not learn anything you dont already know. For example "they went on to have hit after hit" really? wow never knew that. To give you an idea of what this dvd is like imagine sitting in someones badly lit living room. Meanwhile the host is talking to you at full volume about how fantastic the tv programme is that is on the tv. You look over at the tv and you cant hear it properly and you cant see it very well either and the picture keeps jumping all over the place and repeating itself. Your host keeps telling you about how great it is and you keep thinking "yes you have told me already" In fact both your host and the tv are teasing you to join in and see this rare footage but they dont let you actually see it so you are screaming inside your head...."Let me see the clips and shut up"!That should give you some idea what this rubbish is like.The DVD boasts sound audio options for stereo and surround sound but actually all the options sound mono. I have since seen this DVD appear in Poundland, but to be honest it isnt even worth that. its awful.
