These are beautiful in appearance and slim and lightweight in form. There is a coating/sealant on them. The description says they are food safe and healthy so I have to trust them. At least, I don't have to oil them. So that's a plus to being sealed. I am testing out one raw teak spurtle and one sealed acacia spurtle to see which I like better. I'll get back to you on how that goes...

I really love these wooden spoons and have used all of them in the assortment multiple times. They work much better than just typical spoon and are perfect for my staub casserole cooker and I use them as well in my cast iron pans. Very glad I purchased them.

Just the ticket for use with nonstick pans. Even with the pans that claim can use metal tools, they eventually will scratch if have any coating whatsoever. These wood tools are perfect to keep cookware in good condition. Good value, well made.

Worth every cent. They will last a lifetime, just remember not to putthem in the dishwasher....

These are so much nicer to use with my nonstick pans than a regular spoon. Great price and replaces most of my other utensils.
