Can't rate book though dated patterns

I love this book-so many good projects, can,t wait to start.Well laid out with nice photos and good firm hardback so it will never fall apart with use.

I would have loved to give this book a full five stars, however, whilst I like all the patterns and will likely make them, the book falls down in the same way as so many others ............ it gives a specific brand and yarn for each pattern which therefore means the book won't easily translate in the years to come as each brand changes its catalogue of available yarns. The closest we will get to knowing what yarn to use will then rely on looking at what size needle she has specified for the pattern.Lovely book, however the author has failed to make it timeless simply by branding.

I loved Kristina McGowan's first book, and this second one is just as good, if not better. So much inspiration...

Again one cannot even tell it was used. I am thrilled as her books are no longer in print and these patterns are only published in her books.

In this book the designer created some very interesting patterns using the top down technique. I found her explanations easy to follow and the book looks beautiful. I hope she'll continue publishing!

Excellenter Zustand der Ware.

Davvero un libro bello e utile, con modelli abbastanza classici, e quindi durevoli nel tempo: i modelli troppo "alla moda" sembrano avere la data di scadenza: dopo tre anni fanno ridere e li devi disfare. Questi no, quindi il divertimento è doppio.

Great detail on patterns, great tips, great tricks, love it for its teaching possibilities, excellently organized, and great projects to consider IF you like the drapey, slouchy type of knitwear. I still like the book and do not regret the purchase, as I get older finding 'drapey, slouchy' clothing is actually a blessing :)
