Bon Manuel

Teach Yourself Guitar Tone and Effects:
There are a lot of books that try to explain Guitar Tone and the use of Guitar Effects. This book really dose a great job of giving the young or old guitarist in my case a good clear look at what you can do with a Guitar - Amp ( Both Tube & Non Tube. ) & your favorite effects... It's easy to read & understand... Richard Glenn

Guitar Tuition Material
This book is of little use or value to learning the guitar. It has a lot of useless sounds and I definitely would not have bought it had I known what it contained

My Ps5 wasn’t able to read the disk when inserted due to a massive scratch or defect in the cd

Belongs in the children's books section!
I knew this book wasn't for me when first opening and seeing a diagram to teach you all the parts of an electric guitar. There is a section of the book that teaches you how to make your guitar sound like a "DJ RECORD SCRATCH" so you "don't have to lug your trusty turntable to the gig". Thanks, but the only turntable I've ever owned actually just played records. The book also teaches you how to get your guitar to sound like a whale, elephants roar, seagulls, talking cat and the list gos on. Later, the book lists Henry Kaiser (please search Youtube if you don't know who he is) on the same page as Steve Via, Eric Johnson and Van Halen as innovators.. Someone please explain that to me! To top it off, this book is poorly written, and I seriously question some of the so called presented amp designs of some famous guitarists it lists. The books three contributing writers are no doubt professional guitarists and musicians but far from what anyone who's ever played guitar or read a book would consider competent authors. I would say that some effects pedals listed were generally described well at a very basic level. My advice to anyone over the age of 12 or has 6 months or more experience playing guitar is to look elsewhere for a more professional introduction to learning about guitar tone and/or effects.
