Works, 97-82 dB change. fits The size of OD steel pipe.
Works pretty well for what it is. Took my 4 cyl. Glass pack muffler from 97 dB. To 82db(recorded at 30 ft away). It’s by no means a new muffler but a nice cheap way to add some dampening. Also of note is that it will change the pitch. 30 hz peak dB changed to 40-50 hz. I also added some steel wool around the insert for good measure. I’d suggest drilling a second anchor point to reduce any rattling. Also no change in idle dB, just pitch.

Perfect
It took me hours of searching to stumble upon this. I built a custom exhaust for my motorcycle and it ended up being too loud. This fits perfectly inside the 4" exhaust. It's very sinple to install, oyu simply drill one hole for the mount screw. I installed just this at first and it made a drastic difference and got rid of the high pitched pop. I wanted it just a little bit quiter so I wrapped the tube portion with a ceramic exhaust matting. It is exactly what I needed and works flawless!

Won't fit 2.5"
The inlet for this product is 2.5" EXACT, its not a tiny bit wider to fit onto a 2.5" so make sure you have somewhere to go locally that can resize the inlet to fit a 2.5" exhaust. I went to my local CarX and they resized the inlet for free. Though tell whoever is doing it to be careful because parts of the inlet will crack a little, like where the screw hole welds are.

Clear coat it
This is a nice exhaust tip Looks good, I trimmed tail pipe for a more tucked in look and clear coated it for added protection

They did not last…
I had these installed at the shop and within the first week, they both fell off while I was driving and I lost them.
