I was surprised at the quality of the article . It takes the hard work out of knife sharpening and makes it so precise . And so well presented in its own good looking case , which is well made too.It was extremely fairly priced . I am very pleased that I bought it .

The images look good but that’s as far is it goes, the item comes with random screws and bits missing but even when you get it to work the fulcrum MOVES and spins round the upright pole. This means the angle changes every time you make a stroke rendering the product useless..Aside from that the stones are so bad they actually feel like they’re the same grit just dyed a different colour..Cheap Chinese made rubbish

Good product easy to use, stones wear down bit too quick.

Very well designed and made tool. After watching the video in the sales info, I looked forward to using this jig to sharpen my kitchen knives. I was not disappointed.The tool is excellent quality and at a very reasonable price. I've Seen the same tool soldfor much more elsewhere on the Web.

I've owned this for a while now and when I first got it, I loved the clamp as its so much better than the one I previously used (Lansky set). And I had a good go at sharpening the first set up. I did an ok job but there were issues from the off.The first issue is, all other parts other than the clamp are all awful. The screws don't tighten properly. The ball joint is stiff (even with some lubricant). The handle was constantly moving around and because of all of these things you can not get a nice smooth glide across the knife edge.The stones that it comes with are of the worst quality and because the dont fit smoothly onto the surface have all broken in half. I would not buy this again and next time I think I'll just treat myself to the real deal and get myself an Aepx Knife edge pro (or continue with the lanksy) even though that does give me slight cramp in the hand from holding the really small stones.Stay clear even if you are an experienced sharpener (and dont mind replacing every single moving part)

The concept of this is good but the build quality is not great. The locking screws do not stay tight and before you know it the angle has moved. I ended up tightening the screws with pliers. The stones are average quality so don’t expect anything like an average finish.

This is about as bad as it gets. Once you have figured out how it fits together (the instructions aren't worth the paper they are printed on), you will then spend the rest of your time trying to keep the pieces together. Can you sharpen your knives with this - Yes. However by the time you have manged this everyone will have got fed up of waiting for dinner and ordered a take away. Finally, throw the black plastic box away after you have opened. You will never, ever get the pieces back in and be able to shut the box.

First time using it, worked perfectly. By luck I happened to set the angle perfect to the blade grind and in a few minutes I had a 4'' fixed blade knife sharpened. You can use higher quality diamond stones from other more expensive companies or even swap out the stone holder and put in a flat, round or triangle file. When I turned it over I let it snap into place otherwise it has a small movement to the knife holder. I tightened the back Phillips screws first, then the allen key screws second. Well worth the price compared to hundreds of dollars for the competition and very portable if you go on hunting trips. I have a knife collection and I don't use them cause I can't sharpen them. Tried using large stones and ruined my knife. Now I can keep them sharp no problem. I didn't use an angle finder. Instead I marked the blade with a marker and it just happened to be set right by fluke. All components are rock solid. Lots of videos on the internet people saying it's just as good or better than the high price models. I like it cause it clamps solid to a table or 2x4 wood etc.

This is great value for money, but people like it only after they replace some parts.The ball can be replaced with a ball bearing. Many fixing screws don't fix well enough, they can be replaced with, say, thumb screws.The centering of the ball relative the axis of rotation of the clamp is very important and not supported well by the design of the product, needs a lot of attention during work. The centering of the knife's plain of symmetry relative to this axis is also very important; so the clamp (really good one) cannot be trusted in all cases, the clamping needs validation, tricky and time-taking. The product is not very useful for the inexperienced users.The best feature is the compatibility with wider selection of abrasive materials and tools, compared with any other sharpener. Also, Amazon and other selling portals offer good selection of abrasive materials compatible with this sharpener; one important factor here is that the sharpener can use but not require the plastic mounting pad, but can mount raw stones well enough.

This works fine for the price.. However, you absolutely cannot just flip the knife. Because of how the clamp holds the knife. you will find that the angle is *substantially* different top to bottom. Rather than adjust it every time I flip, I find it's easier to just take the knife out of the clamp, flip it over, and reclamp it.

I own 2 similar systems that are less convenient to use. This sets up quickly, holds the knife securely and works well on everything from paring knives to an 11 filet knife. I do knives frequently so I run through the sharpening stones quickly. Ordered the diamond stones for longevity. The edges on my knives are the sharpest I've ever been able to get them. Overall, a great system. I'd order again or suggest to others.

Good sharpener for the money. I like it. It's better than a more expensive sharpener that I own . You can't go wrong with this sharpener.
