As advertised
I ordered some dehydrated foods as I live in Hawaii and things can interfere with our food supply. Arrived just as advertised. Great product. Shelf stable so I will eat well in case our food supply is challenged.

Contaiminated with Red Bell Pepper?
I'm not sure if contaminated equipment was used or they were done in the same batch as peppers, but these sweet potatoes smell and taste strongly of red bell pepper when dry. They cook up fine, but still have that faint bell pepper taste. I'm glad I tried them for a savory dish first. These would not work for a sweet dish. While I've had strawberries before, I'm not sure I'll buy anything else from Mother Earth Products based on this experience.

Too pricey but if you need them then they’re here LOL
I bought this product to give to my dog for treats. For humans you would definitely have to incorporate them into your meal by cooking them and adding them to whatever you’re preparing. You can’t just eat them straight out of the jar because they are too hard. But my dog likes them LOL.

Good for what it is
i LOVE sweet potatoes and i fix them for our family at least a few times a week as part of our regular diet. Freeze dried or dehydrated sweet potatoes are hard to find. I tried 2 brands, and I like these the best.Pros:- they hold form well in stews, soups or other dishes where fresh sweet potatoes would mush- they will last a long time- they are convenient- no peelCons:- as opposed to other freeze-dried/dehydrated foods, they take a long time to cook (reason for Pro #1)- there are no directions for cooking or use on the package. one has to guess and experiment (if preparing as a side dish, i usually boil for about 20-25 min)- they don't have the same quality of flavor as a fresh potato. not as sweet, and can be a little rubberyWill need to add salt/sugar/cinn/butter or whatever your combination of seasonings to achieve the desired final flavorI keep them as a handy off-the-shelf alternative when i'm out of the fresh potatoes and don't want to go to the store, or to use in casseroles.

Do not buy this.
This stuff is crap. Really hard to eat out of the jar like it says and it takes a long time to cook. Gave me a belly ache. Not good camping food.

Worth the money to me.
I thought these were very good. Good flavor and texture. Would buy these again. Saves time from having to bake a whole sweet potato then peel it. Or getting frozen sweet potates and microwaving them.

Tastes great
I liked ordering from amazon because it was a little cheaper than normal, but I still prefer to order from the website directly. It feels as if it's fresher, and also, amazon doesn't include the instructions that the actual website provides. It would have been five stars with those directions because I have never really messed around with dehydrated food before, so I ate a few hard vegetables until I figured it out on my own, but then when I ordered from the site, like I said before, they include instructions on how to re hydrate all types of their products. Amazon is still my number one for everything else though.

Expiration date is less than 2 years
Advertisement said good for up to 25 years and was the reason I bought this. But on the label of the jar I received it has an expiration date of just 1 and a half years. Rock hard. You can't eat it out of the jar as it says. I should have read the other negative reviews that say the same thing before purchasing this.
