The button on each light has four functions. 1. Bright, 2 Soft Bright, 2 Flashing Red, 4 OFF. Easy simple and very bright. Perfiect for runners. Hangs on my waist belt and lights the way I can see every step of the way.

Q: How long does it take for the battery to recharge?

Not very long, maybe an hour? Which is a good thing, since you'll be charging them often. One of my lights lasts less than an hour, the other about 1.5 hours. Essentially I charge them after every use.

Q: I purchased this item one month ago and one of the lights will not work. Can you please help?

I had a similar issue with the red flasher just stopping on its own. Not sure why, but it started working again. I had contacted the seller and they sent a replacement.
