Upgraded Wrist Straps for The Oculus Quest/Rift S Black

Overpriced and poor quality
They seem to be Wii straps that have been repurposed to work with the Quest/Rift-S controllers. I wouldn't have minded except that the part that connects the strap to the controllers is some kind of weak plastic thread. One of mine was broken on arrival and I wouldn't trust the other one. The price of these is ridiculous and I knew that when I bought them, however, I did expect the quality to be at least good enough to do the job for which they were designed.

Cheap modification to straps you can do yourself.
For $15, you essentially get two knockoff Wii Remote wrist straps in black. This would cost you only a few dollars on eBay and even Amazon to get, so you're paying double to triple the price of the straps for one feature out of the box: two cheap, 3d printed plastic inserts which wrap around a part of the string so that the straps stay firmly attached inside the Rift S touch controllers.I have two issues with this. The first issue is that, now knowing how these straps function, I will most definitely buy two cheap knockoff straps which will be of the same quality, and then jerry rig my own solution with some superglue and scrap plastic. The markup DeadEye VR are charging for their product is absurd, if you ask me.The second issue is that my straps came defective out of the box. The left strap's plastic insert came out of the bag in two pieces, dis-attached from the strap. I would not trust my Rift S controllers to dangle on these straps and be supported only by the plastic, even for just a second.Sometimes, a little DIY is better than paying someone a proportionally exuberant amount of money to do it for you. This is one of those times.

Great Replacement
My original strap on my right controller broke itself (along with damaging my controller so now I have to tape the battery compartment closed or it just slides off) and I ordered these to replace both. These are great. They fit really well, they're snug, they have a far more comfortable band than the original ones, and I've had absolutely no issues with them - plus "installing" them literally is just sliting the thing on to the little controller wrist strap spot and it's done, that simple. The ONLY problem, and not one I'd take a star off for, is that the bulky strap size-changer thing is, well, bulky. I play a lot of VRChat mostly and that involves sitting with my arm on my bed and my other arm on the back of my couch - and both have the giant bulky thing squishing into the wrist sometimes which can be kind of obnoxious. Also, when it's particularly humid the wrist strap itself can get stuck to your skin and become uncomfortable until you flail your wrist about enough to make it get loose.Overall though, no real serious complaints. Exactly what I was hoping for and recommend them.

Quality Straps, Convenient Price. Love them!
I ordered this product as a replacement for my OEM Rift S Touch Controller wrist straps. I did not like how the OEM straps twisted, bunched up, and loosened over a rigorous play session, like Beat Saber. I wanted something that stayed tight and would not bunch up even though it may get twisted from letting the controllers hang. These are those straps. They have a thick cloth band that did not make my wrists sweat, connected to two little "strings" that allow the straps to twist but not bunch up. The cloth portion is tightened using a clip with teeth, that locks the strap in place around your wrist. These did not move AT ALL and the straps easily withstood a rigorous Beat Saber session. No bunching, no loosening, nothing. Needless to say these are my go to straps now, no reason to use the OEM straps.Installation on the controllers is a snap. Simply unclip the old straps by taking off the battery cover, and pulling the straps up and out. Slide the new ones in sideways (top to bottom) and they'll sort of lock in place. I have had them come out when replacing the battery. It's easy enough to simply slide them back in. No worries there. There are a couple of minor issues. The lock on the teeth faces one direction, so there is technically only one "correct way' to wear these. I let the controller hang, and with the lock facing me I insert my hand left to right and slide the clip up and lock it downward with my free thumb. If you do it wrong you will need to use your index finger or thumb in the opposite direction, which is cumbersome, especially with a headset on. Flicking the lock up rather than down is harder than it sounds. A couple closing remarks. I do worry about the teeth fraying the cloth over time and giving it that "fuzzy, frayed" appearance cloth tends to get. I also wonder about the strength of the strings. Some games where throwing things is important, I literally let go of my controller to throw something, like a grenade. I would also love more color options, I want some dope green or red straps!

strap failed within hours, breaking controller
Fails at its main job, isn't great at its others.Manufacturing tolerances are questionable; was much harder to install one of the straps than the other; lots of 3D-printing residue on the piece meant to attach the strap to the controller.Thick; heavy straps were very annoying when playing games involving lots of quick movement; like Beat Saber. The plastic end of the strap would smack into my hand with most large arm movements. The strap failed in its 3rd cumulative hour of use; and the light grip I was lulled (by my trust of the strap) into using combined with the strap's spontaneous failure flung the controller a few feet to the side and down onto the floor; breaking it.The OEM straps are so terrible that no matter how tight I make them, they end up around my knuckles towards the end of long songs in Beat Saber, but at least they work when properly situated.
