These are great pencils! In comparison to my other Crayola pencils and a couple of other off brands, these are far superior. The lead is hard enough that it lasts well but still offers a "soft" coloring feel. The colors are bright and cover extremely well. It goes on so easily but I don't find myself going to the pencil sharpener nearly as much as with my others. The color is also very true to the color swatch on the bottom of the pencil. Color names help to remember the ones you favor. Very impressed with these. If I had any criticism it would be the trays inside. I would prefer removable self-contained trays over the layered pencil trays. If you remove the trays from the box, nothing holds the pencils in place. But this isn't worth taking off points from my overall rating. Don't hesitate on these. They are very much worth the price paid!

This set of colouring pencils is worth trying out, I was pleasantly surprised! Color depth increases with pressure, no lead breakage at all, sharpens nicely and easy to hold. The range of colours is great, thank you!

This set of Color Escapes is the most balanced 72 set of colored pencils I have ever purchased. The color chart on the box does a disservice to the set by placing the colors randomly. Take a look at the photos and you will see a great selection across the spectrum, including purples, skin tones, browns and ohhh, the grays. The only area I would change would be to not include the gold and silver metallic pencils and instead add 2 more yellows. Most 72 sets are very deficient on the grays, but this set has an array of cool and warm grays as well as a slate gray. These pencils and the Crayola Blend and Shade perform better than higher priced pencils on CreateSpace paper. As many are aware, loads of adult coloring books are on CreateSpace paper.Crayola never disappoints to provide great products at a great price point.

This set is perfect. Perfect for self or as a gift. Highly recommend.
