The Best of the Best
The Ghost trolling motor has been a game changer for me. I love the integration with my Lowrance HDS Live graphs and the remote control. This thing is quiet, powerful and has a very accurate spot lock. I have yet to run my batteries down, during a full day use on an electric-only lake. I run mine in 24V mode on a Ranger 178VS and it has plenty of power, speed and features. I love running a route and tracing it back with autopilot or saving it on my graph for future use. Oh yea, the install is a breeze. The holes in my bow from the Hummingbird I removed, lined up perfectly with the Lowrance mount. I am told that there are holes to match all the major brands of trolling motor, so no drilling is necessary. The wiring is simple too. The pedal quality is great! I was debating between the Garmin and the Lowrance, as both are brushless and are feature packed, but ultimately the Lowrance won for me. The pedal on the Garmin is cheap feeling and has no feedback. The Lowrance actually feels like a cable drive and feels like high quality. This thing is easy to operate and is accurate and intuitive. I upgraded my sonar to the 3-in-one ghost nosecone and I highly recommend the Lowrance Ghost trolling motor.

Super power/low battery draw
Quality built unitMotor nice and quiet (can’t tell it’s running)The directional motor is a little noisy and takes a bit to get used toI went with the 24v system to start with and am surprised with the power and lack of drain on the systemI can run all day without draining battery like my old trolling motorI don’t see why you would ever need to go 32vSo far I am really happy with the unitHave been playing with the Angkor setting and so far so good (have noticed it over composites more with noWind even on lowest settingSo far very pleasedWill see what it does in freezing temperatures and higher winds soon

Don't buy unless you know you have a service center close.
I purchased this trolling motor and spent hours of time and miles of driving to try and get it working. It had issues updating software that I was able to get through after researching on my own as support did not help. Then I went out and used it for 5 minutes then after following the instructions for paring the remote, the motor no longer runs. Spent time on phone with support and they said it would need to go to service center and I cannot return until it is looked at by service center. My service center is 1.5 hours one way away from me. The cost of this motor is not just the cost of the unit but your time and gas money to do debug and service before they will let you return.

Direction indicator
First off I love the motor!! It’s quiet and fast and is way better than my old trolling motor, but for $3500 everything should work. The direction indicator arrow didn’t stay true to the direction from the time I installed the motor. Still doesn’t to this day, and Lowrance customer service sucks!!! Can’t find a phone number, they emailed me 2 weeks ago and I told them the problem haven’t been emailed back with a solution.

Expensive but worth it
Love my ghost. First tournament I was in 20+ winds I sat on a hump and never moved spot lock worked awesome at the end of the day my old batteries still had plenty of life in them. And i didnt need to upgrade electronics to use spot lock or sonar as i originally thought seeing how I had hds gen 3s. Definitely feel the extra thrust of a brushless motor to. its a lot of $$ and I'm not sponsored or made of money. But in my eyes this was money well spent. Now just gotta pay off the credit card 🤣

Buy something else!
I bought mine in Oct. Middle of last month (Feb.) already in service. Got it back pretty quick, and hooked it up everything worked. Had a busy two weeks, so didn't get to fish. Seriously after sitting in the drive way for two weeks, I go to take it to the lake and try it in the driveway just to make sure. Same thing 5 beeps and the arrow flashes. It has a three year warranty but that doesn't matter if something that's supposed to pretty rugged fails all the time. You would think for 4k after all said and done this would be something quality.
