Solid player - came in crutch for our Christmas Eve services!
I'm barely a beginner, but when I pulled this harp from my back pocket and trumpeted it into my Shure Bullet mic, people went crazy at our Christmas Eve services at Compel.church (you can catch the services online). It was a blast!I had a few kids and teens even tell me, "That was the coolest thing I've ever seen!"I have some cheaper harmonicas, so I can't compare them much...however, this one sounds great and plays so well that I don't think I can go back to sub-par harps.I did have to trim my mustache down even more because the harmonica was grabbing some whiskers, but that seems common. Small price to pay for the fun of playing!-Michael Lacey, singer/songwriter and best-selling author

Great harmonica for beginner or pro
I've been playing harmonica for only a couple of months. I first bought a Fender Blues Deluxe which was not expensive and but I could follow along with online lessons and I could tell I wanted to learn more. After looking at some video reviews, I decided to try a Special 20 and I had some money so I bought it. I found learning to be a little easier and bending was much easier. I would recommend the same for anyone starting at harmonica: If you're not sure you are going to "take" to the harmonica, spend $13-$15 and get a Fender Blues Deluxe to see if harmonica is for you. If you want to move to the next level after a few weeks, invest in getting a Special 20 and you will feel/hear the difference.

Could they possibly have made this case more difficult to open? I don’t think so.
The harmonica is terrific. It’s a staple instrument for harp player from long before the time I was born.Which is why I am baffled at the ridiculous plastic case they ship it in. Good luck getting it out of there.Once you close that sucker the only way to open. It is push hard on the. overly firm. Injection molded, non-button, then dig your thumbnail between the sharp to narrow crack between the two shell pieces and the lift.. I swear to God, the first time I tried to open it I had to employ a crowbar. Literally. And even then I didn’t want to open up. I’m guessing they’ve been making this harmonica for 75 years or more and they used to put them in a nice lightly padded, leather re-feeling vinyl hinged case which if I remember correctly, had a little latch on it. It was comfortable to the feel and comfortable to open. This case is the cheapest PVC case with painful edges. It feels in the hand like something designed by the Nazi party. Except the Nazis would’ve used a better quality material..Don’t let that stop you from buying the harmonica. When it’s out of the case it, please exactly if he would want it to.

You can never go wrong buying this model. Quality
This Hohner special 20 is a time tested go-to for may professional musicians. I was happy how easily it was to play, and the sound is good as well. This model is made in Germany.I think it is better made than the China sourced models, easiervto play, and sounds smoother.

Nice tone and easy to play.
After lots of research, I bought this 10 hole, diatonic harmonica in the key of C. I like everything about it and would recommend it for any level musician, Beginner to Pro."Easy To Learn" is subjective to the individual so I only gave it 3 Stars. Personally, I would give it 5 Stars.

Great and Best Buy!
The media could not be loaded. as a kid I once played a harmonica, never actually learned to played it, now with this harp I legitimately feel like in the old wild west when playing R.D.D and play the tunes for my teammates. Easy to use, simple to learn, perfect size and great sounds quality, not bad for a plastic board.
